Hi folks

Just came across the following option under clientzone - connectivity ( click mobile package) - edit package - Pause this service
Pause this Service

You can now temporarily 'Pause' your account for up to 6 full months with only a few clicks.

You can schedule a payment/service holiday from any point in the next month onwards - since you've already paid for this month. Perfect for when you're going to a remote island in Bali for a few weeks

Would like more clarity on the following. Does that mean I can pause the service now(today for example & internet stops or will it stop functioning in November) will I be charged for November only then lets say in May/June 2014 I want to un-pause the service will I be charged for the duration of July example, if rates change will I have to pay cough up the difference example R999 (Mobile three 3 + 7gig) subtracting R197.

See this thread for more details. It would appear that you would only save money if you pause the service for one or more complete calendar months.

If I am understanding this correctly, if you pause your account today you will not get billed for November since the request was made before the debit order run on the 25th of each month. You have already paid in advance for October so I don't think there is any point in cutting off your service before 1 November. The moment you reactivate the service I assume that you will be billed for that entire month even if you activate it again on the last day of the month. If rates change while the service is paused then the new rates will apply on recommencement. If you recommence the service after the debit order run and before the start of the new month I would guess that you will be billed for two months at once. I don't think there is a pro rata mobile rate.
