Hi All,

I heard from one of the Iburst resellers that WBS is thinking of charging for bandwidth used over the cap. :(
I don't want to start a rumour here, but I want to find out if anyone heard anything about this.
If this is implemented, I'm gona be very unhappy, to say the least, till now I could handle the problems, but this will be final straw!

Hope they are wrong!

I heard this rumour too.... not going to reveal my source...

Not really worried as I am in the process of getting ADSL. I've had enough of WBS bull****!

/Me wonders if this is the beginning of a trend started by Voda - vis : pay for each and every megabyte, local or international - we don't care ....

/Me wonders if teklom is going to announce the same thing on 1st aug ...

/Me car is still going to be blue next week ...

@ Kei, I know you've got an aversion to TelkoDemonopoly like the rest of us, one thing I recommend to help ease the pain of dealing with the devil - buy your ADSL ISP account from a reseller instead of buying direct from TelkoDemonopoly - it's a way of reducing TelkoDemonopoly's profit ever so slightly, whilst letting resellers survive...:)

Actually, I just found out about my lame salary increase so I'll have to stop downloading more than 3GB.

i think they might be doing it because telkom is doing it. If any of you with more than braincell have noticed, they copy everything telkom does... 3 gig cap etc

At least you got an increase :-(

If this happens count me to cancel aswell, after all if they put this in place, they want to copy now what Telkom will be doing in August, maybe it's that but its just rumour for now but if this happens.

I'M GOING TO CANCEL FINISH!!
Why pay for surf dam thats going to be expensive, I've also noticed WBS doing something along the line with this new update.

@rebel - You gottanincrease !!!!! WOW - HOW ? Lucky bastard !
My boss feels sorry for me :( I earn too little not to get an increase. An increase of nothing on nothing is still nothing :(

Can't even afford to get my own place. I'm still living with my parents :o for fu*ks sake. I am a loser for sure :(

I've noticed a change to the bandwidth monitor page on iBurst.co.za

They now have a field for "purchased bandwidth" makes me think something is coming along the lines of pay to surf. More steps backwards into the stone age.

Me feeling is that if they want to do 'Pay for Surf', they should also allow for carry-over of the 3Gb allocation not used.

My feeling is that WBS would be breaching existing contracts [again] if they decided to make you pay extra for the bandwidth used while capped...

thats never stopped them before...

but it would be shooting themselves in the foot seeing as its probably the only reason to keep using iburst

Well thats when u purchased extra bandwidth by CREDIT CARD or added to your account to keep track if it was you who purchased bandwidth just now someone can get access to your account or something and buy bandwidth and then u pay for it :)

I'm hating iburst now really with all these changes, I've also seen they don't know how to distrubute the bandwidth i can download then not browse im capped atm.
