Well, isn't the question this: If you're going to pay for exceeding the cap, do you get the extra data at 1Mbps? I don't see the point of getting a lousy sub-64kbps AND paying for it as well.

3 months after launch I still haven't exceded the cap, but if I did, I would just buy some extra GB's and carry on enjoying the speed. The idea of limping along at sub 64kbps is not exactly appealing.

After reading all the posts in here i have come to the conclusion that *cough* telkom might not be so bad . All the problems with them seem to be in the initial "handshake" period at startup / sign on / installation once you are past this then all is well ? i hope. With WBS it seems to be an ongoing battle like playing monoply with a blank board , no one (not noone) knows what is going on or what is going to happen next.

As my sig says that alternative solution is looking better .

They can implement the "pay as you surf" as long as they increase the cap from 3 to 5gb

From asking a couple of questions it seems that the pay-to-surf approach my well be in the form of a NEW package.

As you all recal, WBS went to great lengths to tell us that the current package is just SOME of what's to come ... Maybe this is the first of the new packages ....

I would guess August timeframe is probably not that far off ... though one never knows ;-)

well I must stress that untill there is actually official word on the matter, this is just a rumour.

If it waas true WBS must be on some awesome drugs because rather than using the one upmenship of competition they would just choose to follow telkoms lead, telkom cuts off users after the cap, we cut users off after the cap sort of thing.

if anyone at WBS was reading this I would just like them to know that as a customer I can say the 64k after the cap thing is probably the best thing they have going for them now considering telkom will be releasing 1mbit ADSL soon, but like I said... it's just a rumour

I realy hope someone in the WBS company read this and actualy think of what the ppl thinks of the - now rumour.

I am happy with my Iburst, when it is working, but all this just gets on my nurves. :-(
