Anyone here have any solid advice for buying some currency with PP in SA? I've decided to play around with some spare cash i have in there and looking for somewhere with low fees to get the most out of it that i can. Thanks

Edit: Why not just sign up at Luno? I've yet to see even an intl. exchange that supports funding via paypal.

Thanks for the reply. Just been trying to avoid unneeded fees up and down and up and down getting the money from PP into bank, then over to CC, then buy at this or that place then finally convert then only trade what i want to. Thought there might be a way other than VirWox to just dump the PP funds into something, but then again, i understand the whole worry with PP is the being able to reverse it thing.

Luno is pretty easy though.
Bank EFT -> LUNO -> Buy BTC, unless of course you're after other currencies then additional steps :).

So ive read yes. I guess what makes my situation a bit difficult is id like to avoid spending more funds when i already have these. Just wanna...use them, ya know. Thanks for trying to help tho. Guess paying fees is the only solution.

I transferred money from FNB to Luno, bought Bitcoin, and transferred to Poloniex in less than 30 minutes.

EFT is easy with LUNO. But the OP has money in his Paypal account as far as I can make out, that he wants to use.

This. Dont wanna invest anything additional. Got $200 in PP, just wanna make the most of it without converting left right and centre and ending up only with $100 worth after fees.

did you manage to get this right? virworx is the only one that does it from what i found..but you looking at a 20% fee =/ ..

Most places I see using PP (ebay), charge a monstrous premium. I read somewhere it's due to the risk of PP refund policy. So the seller is taking a big risk if they sell to you, and you decide to reverse payment.
