Okay so most of the people on the forums or atleast the dealers knows Im looking at getting a pc... Finally got the cash together and now Im looking at my final setup etc. At the moment Im looking at buying from Landmark, unless I can get a setup for a LOT cheaper, just easier if my supplier is close by (Cape Town)

Ive got R12 000 to spend... This includes EVERYTHING. Monitor, mouse, mousepad, etc. Now would you guys recommend the old range 22" Samsungs or the new range 19" Samsungs (32 and 53 range)

If I subtract the monitor Im looking at about R9500 for the box and components... At the moment Im ignoring that the Nehalem will be released in the next 6 months, because they are going to be very expensive...

Im looking at the following:
Asus P5Q-Pro
Intel Q6600
His Radeon HD4850
2 x Transcend JetRam High-Performance DDR800 2Gig
Seagate, 500Gb, 7200rpm, 32mb cache, NCQ, SATA-300
iSONIC 923 ATX MIDI TOWER CASE
Samsung SH-S233 DVD
iSonic MegaPower PSU 600W
Logitech G3 Laser Gaming Mouse
Logitech Media Keyboard
Sonic Gear HS555 Headset

Or something, please discuss and help me out with suggestions or alterations (That pc was put together about a month ago, so dont know if much has changed :P)

I also want to say thanks for the people that has already helped me out a bit.

You could get a nicer case if that matters to you for the install/cooling.

Also do you really need the P5Q-Pro? The plain P5Q looks fine to me, you might be able to get a 4870 with the cash. But it's basically up to you, you've got a good system already.

Prophecy has a good deal on 2X2GB Mushkin CL4 ram, R887 it's on the front page if you want to check that out. They also have the HD4870 for R3000 which is a pretty good price.

Agreed, I'd rather go with the HD4870 than a P5Q-Pro :))

As long as the AMD cpu compares with a pentium 4 , 3+ ghz it should work fine?

Difference between a Pro and a standard is basically R300... Pro gives you Xfire support (although only 8/8 speed) But it does give you the option...

I dont really know what case to get... Any help on the monitors?

You REALLY shouldn't be powering that pc on a iSonic psu. Whether it's 600watts or 1000000 Watts.

Get a Corsair/Antec/Zalman/Seasonic/Enermax psu.

Seriously. Nothing else.

Don't get anything less than a 4600+(2.4ghz), 5600+ is also fine(2.8ghz)

But you can get a Tri core phenome for about a grand now(from take2) and that will last you longer.

Although the cpu won't be the bottle nec in your system, your gfx is.

If you have the cash the 9600GT is going for R1200 at take2.
