Hi there, I would like to know what the games are that your considering as future options for this Sa league? The reason I ask is because there is alot of games out there that seem to be the most popular due to there sales but in reality there are other games that are more popular but you wont find any recent info about it.

Hi Silver

We are open for suggestions, and we do consult the community before we select the games for the next season. We will post the email account on the forums by next week Monday for all your suggestions and run a poll on the games the community will support in the league on the Resourze website.

Please supply us with all the information you have, we are always open for suggestions.

Just need some clarification on this .

People will get awarded Protea Colours , which is great , thanks to everyone who has made this possible , but how are they to be selected ? Is it just a case of the best clan who wins a certain comp again ? OR will there be people who can award players who are not in the top clan colours ? The reason i ask is not for cs:s , but for games like bf2 , with a huge following in SA . We have a player who is in the top 50 in the world but if he is not in the right clan he wont get the colours .

Then we have whose play is very unsportsmanlike , but it will win them clan games , also some folks have been banned/stats reset for variuos reasons will they also be in the running to get colours ? IS there someone from this council that plays bf2 and knows all that is happening/has happened ? Could this person/commitee then rather choose a small group who they feel cna best represent SA or will it come down to clan games ?

If there was a person from the group who will be awarding colourswho plays and understand bf2 would a group he chooses be the same as the top clan ? These are just questions i feel need to be adressed , even if you tell us you have people or a person playing who knows all of what is happening and who can make an unbiased call , then that too will be great .

Once again will done to agasa and the rest .

I think this is the best news I have heard in A LONG TIME, AGASA 4tw! You guys rock, I've been actively participating in the Dod:s league and it is awesome!

I don't really mind if I don't get to represent my country internationally or get protea colours, but the fact that it is possible now is an amamzing feat and im sure it will boost gaming in South Africa tremendously!

Im interrested to find out how you guys intend on implemeting a University leauge (as i attend university) and would like to participate in this proposed league ;>

Keep up the great work!

Kabal :
There is alot of small details we still have to work out, and yes determining how the players will chosen is no easy feat. But all of this will be handled when we get there. Getting this *accreditation* so to speak, is the first step into a brand new world for gaming in SA.
We have also from Day 1 been completely and utterly open with the gamign comunity, 90% of the time taking input straight from the community and implementing it. So we will be asking the communities help and listening to your ideas throughout the future.

Athos :
As far as we are concerned the University League will work like the current league, but you would only play for your specific Univiersity , if you make their team that is...

To Athos, Kabal and lilDeath.

Thanks again for the welcome, the kind words and the interest in the AGASA league.

Kabal: There is much deliberation that will go into the games we will support for the 2007 season. As we have are working with the great SGS community -we will have admins appointed to make sure the games run smoothly.

As for the colours issue - please have some patience. We are still running the last leg of the AGASA league, and we need to wrap up everything concerning the league first. We are also working on some more good news for the SA gaming community which we need to finalize within the next two to three weeks. We just wanted to let you guys know what we are up to behind the scenes.

Athos: Thanks for the support mate. All the news will be made public very soon. We just need to wrap up what we are working on at the moment. But I can tell you that we will be having all the information up on how registrations will work and how the league will run on the www.agasa.co.za website pretty soon.

But please have a little patience - the next press conference will reveal loads more. I think you guys will be pretty pleased.

Here is a problem , bf2 eats b/w and a lot of it as well , would it not be great to actually have telkom as a sponsor , then they could get a better understanding of how a so called "abuser" can easily eat away 3 gigs , It could be a great chance for both sides .

Guys,

Game Masters (or GM) a product of Game Guruz has already gone down this path and over the past year have setting up the infrastructure to get a recognised international standarad for Gaming.

There is a lot more to it than just posting you are going to get colours if you play in a tournament. MSSA will only release colours to any player who is a paid member of any gaming organization that is part of MSSA and where the tourney was MSSA approved for colours, and where the player earned the colours according to MSSA's constitution.

I would suggest AGASA and GM meet and discuss this further (which I believe Colin Webster is setting up) because - there is an entire constitution that has to be followed and there are a number of Boards that make decisions in colours. GM is already a driving force with MSSA and has already begun moving the vehicle with getting the admin side, legalities etc on the ball.

Not only that but the tournament must be a MSSA league, run by gaming organizations that affiliate with MSSA. MSSA will not endorse any tournament for recognition that do not fall in that structure.

GM itself is looking at Tourneys for colours already in the following games:

Warcraft III
StarCraft
Unreal Tournament 2004 (and 2007)
Counter Strike 1.6 and Source
Quake 3 Arena
Battlefield 2

there are a few more under discussion.

I am sure that once AGASA and GM have met - that there will be more clear routes to when and how this will step forward.

Kabal,

I am not sure what the structure was of AGASA for this - but GM's structure is being built to similirise the same structure as a swimming or tennis leage, rugby etc, where certain competitions may be 1 vs 1 - earning you the that leagues colours, and others which would be award to teams.

Just need some clarification on this .

Aye all this is infact needed.
But AGASA is going through the channels as need be. Thus why Colin was at the Press Conference with us :)

We are more than willing to sit with Game Guruz? and discuss matters. Do you have a website so that we can see what you are all about?

I have to admit im a bit in the dark here, concerning Game Guruz.

NM I see the website link at the bottom of your sig :p

Kemo,

Game Guruz is a holding company that launched the product Game Masters. We are commonly known as GM (or to some as Game Masters)

We have a full history on the unreal.co.za forums - as that's where we based our initial gaming career, and as for a website - Game Masters has one. www.gamemasters.co.za - the site is still under contruction - as it is being built to be a gamers portal. but the basics are complete.

We have been present for almost a 1 year and a half and have been with MSSA for just over a year if I am correct.

I'm sure the schools+AGASA+the community can come up with some decent Tags...

If I remember my school days from long passed we would want to stay away from anything with the word Frag in it, that "r" is way to easy to leave out. lol :)
