Hi guys,

I have:

Intel 6300 (1.8Ghz (OC to 2.8 stable))
2 GIG DDR 800 (Running DDR 800 - No OC)
2 X 320 HDD
DVD
19" LCD
PCI-E 8800GTX (stock and OC)
Vista 64-bit

If I play Grid then I can go about 1 - 2 laps then it's like a lag in the game. The lag releases in a few sec and the game goes into ULTRA speed mode for a few sec. Crysis is fine and I think it's details is better.

So I checked my Temps... Everything fine. Set my GTX to Stock speeds. Did the same. Set my CPU to Stock speed. Did the same. I Turned down the detail in the game.... Still did the same...

Any Idea what the hell this can be?

Thanks in advance

Is it just grid this is happening?

Turn off the AA in grid and see if that helps. Do all your other games run fine? What drivers are you using? the latest?

I would try getting maybe another 2 gig of ram since your running vista which loves eating all your resources before you even run a game.

Yea I usually put the details of the shadows a bit lower coz it usually improves the perf a bit...

AA was turned off... I am download a newer driver now.. Hopefully it will work.

Thanks guys

Yea but I don't know if that will cause a freeze for a few secs... Why is all the other games running fine.. Tetris is ok, Minesweeper a bit slow sometimes but otherwise everything runs smooth.. hehe...

lol... Will keep that in mind Sharkbait.. lol..

Will let you guys know tomorrow. Thanks...

I appears that you only have this problem in Grid? From the benchies that I have seen, Nvidia benches are better than ATI in crysis, but it is the other way around in Grid. Maybe check if there is a update on the game as well?

Codecs. Google k-lite mega codec pack or something. It's the only one I use and it works for most of the stuff.

or format and install Vista, hehehe.... I downloaded the drive now... Took a while.. 90 Meg... hehe...

Anyway I'll install and see what happens. Thanks for the tips guys (don't now if there's any gals here)

Well guys, I did bring all the detail to lowwwwww... Restored default bios settings... Didn't OC anything. Installed the latest Driver from nVidia...

There's no more lagging (even if I OC and put the detail a bit high)

But after a few races the screen will just turn black... Like it still freezzzzzzzes.

Is there any updates for this game???

Thanks

Run a dskcheck. Your hard drive could have bad sectors.

Nope... I ran that about a week or 2 ago with a defrag...

Installed AVG anti-Virus and spyware and hijackthis... Didn't get anything... I think something is a bit incompatible. Just not to sure what it is...
