Hi,after formatting pc and getting internet working again, everyday now im getting this message,"Pc has lost lease to IP address",i have to log into router and click connect.DHCP is enabled, and i checked lan connection and TCP/IP properties have IP and DNS set to automatically get them.Any help is appreciated thanks.

Edit:Telkom is ISP

what do you mean by log into router and click connect again?
I assume its just your pc losing its ip? And not the router itself?

If so, super fast solution is to apply a static ip :)
otherwise, something is stopping the renewal...turn off Av/firewall/windows FW and see if it persists?

Hi,thanks for the reply,so to make it static i would just disable DHCP and then enter any IP in the allowable IP range?

You wouldnt even need to disable DHCP.
Just assign yourself an ip outside of the dhcp scope,
If this is a home environment then just assign yourself an ip, chances of it clashing with one of your other devices is slim
