Hi All

I just purchased a new UHD tv (samsung UA55HU7200). It has a maximum resolution of 3840 x 2160. I have since tried to connect my pc to the tv using hdmi (i7 2600, 8GB ddr3 1333, Gigabyte 780 GTX OC).

The TV displays the Windows 8 loading logo, but as soon as the loading is done the TV says no signal (In other words as soon as the login screen appears). If i disconnect the hdmi and connect it to my normal pc screen the login screen displays fine. I have also checked , the maximum resolution my gfx card supports is 4096 X 2160. I am using the hdmi port from my card direct to the screen

Am i missing something or has anyone come across the same issue?

Your PC's gfx card might actually be pushing its max resolution which is not supported by your TV. Try lower the resolution a bit on the PC and reconnect TV to test

Lower your refresh rate, you should be able to get the proper resolution at 30hz, since your GPU only has HDMI 1.4
You'll need a GPU with HDMI 2.0 if you want the full resolution at 60hz
