PC Problem

CPU fan spins for a second and then stops.

1. User turns on power at power switch.
2. Motherboard gets power and lights up .. checks it's state ... it's state is off .. powers down fan and CPU.
3. Motherboard goes into wait state, waiting for ON switch to be pressed.

Perhaps user has not connected motherboard power switch connectors to case power button correctly?

could be, I dont have the manual for the motherboard so I was trying different jumpers

but you refer to your power tripping as "lights have tripped" yes/no?
you hardly every say "Plug Points have tripped"

hehe, no... I say the power has tripped or the breaker has tripped Working in my field, if you tell the main contractor the lights has tripped when you mean a breaker on the DB you will get chucked off site
