Hi guys

My PC Speakers are acting up. They keep going soft then returning to normal. Happens are random intervals. I've checked that I have everything connected properly and I have the latest drivers, but the problem still exists.

My speakers are a Logitech X-530 and aren't even 4 months old.

uninstall the drivers, then reinstall them... sounds like a soft ware problem...

But, another thing you could try is turn the aux cable in it's socket.

Could also be the volume control pot is bad (if it has an external one), does it make scratching noises when the volume drops?
