Good day.

My HTPC use to sleep but i upgraded to 11 didnt like it then went back to 10 with clean install.
Now with all default setting and sleep option to 2 hours screen to 30min. Pc tries to sleep but then starts up again.
Please help. Dont like machine running permanently. And dont want to switch it of everytime.

Does it shut down properly, or does it also shut down and restart without powering down properly?

Reason I'm asking is because I have run into issues with fast startup where it doesn't allow pc to shut down or sleep properly when enabled.

I don't know if this applies to you but when I was having this problem, I had to deactivate Cortana. Apparently it keeps the computer awake to listen for any commands. So it sleeps or apepars to sleep for a couple of minutes, then it's running again. Since I did that, I've had no further issues.

Try this
To find out what event/device woke up your Windows from its sleep state, go to command prompt (type cmd on the Start menu Search box and press [Enter]), then type:

powercfg -lastwake

My windows 10 pc did this, was active ethernet and then my wireless gaming mouse that would wake my PC up i took off the settings mentioned above where they can wake up machine up and been fine since

These ones to avoid confusion
Try to untick these settings on Network Adapter(s) device properties ...
