PC Zone Pinetown?

probably the only thing that will make a difference at all is the ms response thingy ...... after that, just go with the one that offers the warranty.

Thats the thing I wont be able to. its pc zones birthday sale wont be able to compare or anything physically since that place is like a mad house lol! and the things get sold out in like the first 5 hours so have to make a descision before friday

lol Sorry mate but Samsung wins (probably my biased but right opinion :p)

@ Memphisto: Only if you game... And even if you do you can't notice the difference between 2ms and 6ms that well

Ok thanx. Even though the samsung has a 700:1 contrast ratio compared to the 2000:1 of the acer?

must admit though the samsung looks way better than the acer, build quality that is. cant get better than that glossy black finish :-)

Do you guys think I should rather buy a quad and buy myself a GFX later or should I buy the Core 2 Dual 2.53 and a 9800 GT? AFAIK the both have the same mobo during the sale

I'm in the same boat as you, was thinking of getting the Quad + 9800GT + another stick of RAM + the Acer 19"...

I was also thinking more ram, but I want a 22", 2 months, I want a samsung anyway

If youre going to make proper use of all four cores i would take the quad, but if youre a gamer and dont really need all 4 cores take the dual with 9800gt.

Hi I just found out that the PC's come with an aopen case with 300w psu and it comes with an ECS G31 motherboard.

Ecs Motherboards are budget. No wonder the pricetag on the item is so low. It would be better to have an intel board or a foxconn rather

Guys, when / if you buy from PC Zone, make sure your warranty for each component is on the invoice/order form.

I helped a friend get a PC from them once (a fool was I) and it came with Transcend RAM and a Seagate HDD. Now everyone knows that Transcend ram comes with a lifetime warranty and Seagate's have either a 3 year warranty (if they're older) and the newer ones a 5 year.

PC Zone basically just told me 1 year for the RAM and HDD .. the entire PC, so if I wanted to replace the RAM on warranty, I'd have to contact a distributer for Transcend and Seagate.

Never buying anything from those fsckwits.

So ja, if you do buy, make sure you get your warranty in writing from them, make sure it is signed.

Oh my word got here 10 minutes ago and im in the line outside the spar. I didn't think it would be this busy. I hope those quad cores are not sold out by the time I eventually get to the door. :(
