Any suggestions?
I thank u for ur response.... Enjy ur day.

could be overheating, what are the specs, and when do they restart and how frequently :)

ya... i would change the settings in bios (if avail) or any system controlling app to allow to overheat...
although... not a good idea to allow to overheat, if that is your problem...

if a PC restarts by itself it could be a number of things.

*One is obviously overheating'
*Incorrect Memory timings or maybe memory issues
*Powersupply issues, Either faulty power supply spiking. or Not enuff power
*Motherboard , sometimes the onboard soundcard or video card gives ***. and makes the whole board unstable.

Question : Does it restart at random?? or when u do something specific?? like running a game or maybe when a screensaver comes on? or at windows loadup? etc? (that could be powersupply or 3dcard. If its at windows loadup it could be memory timings). Also have u added any hardware lately? Maybe added memory or new 3dcard? maybe new Powersupply ?

oh generaly if theres the slightest sign over instablilaty the computer will restart. its the same as when i overclock my cpu, it would get unstable, thus it would restart, and don't panic when it does, pc's do funny things. Oh Napalm i don't think its the memory coz then it would give those bleems and no boot in. Are you sure you haven't overclocked the computers or fiddled with the bios

Thanx all on ur response, appreciate it, but no guys it's not P/Supply new case, not the Memory coz if it was it wouldn't even load Windows, not Bios either , no i didn't over-clock it..."OK' U can just switch it on and leave it' after loading WindXp about three to Five min then it would just restart without even u opening any appication....; so it can't be an application either.I'l format and re-install Windows will let u guys know...Thanx again on the response, really appreciate it.

My bet is on a virus - especially if you didn't have Service Pack 2 installed. If this is the case, formatting the hard-drive and re-installing Windows should fix things.

lol, i think it's time to forget the past and imbrace the future, re-install windows and get rid of that old, flaky, virus riddled windows you currently using, and get a new, shiny windows
