Thanks Hoodwink for the link!:)
I gather the :
pseries_windows.exe size: 7521277 bytes updated: Friday 21st of April 2006
download should be the correct one ?
I do know the original Elan drivers in the boxed cd did not even work.
What problems did you have with installing the new HSDPA card on the Elan adapter?

There are a number of PCI to PCMCIA adaptors available.

We've tested quite a few and selected the Elan Digital Systems P111 card (http://www.elandigitalsystems.com/adapter/p111.php) for use with our 3G data cards.

These will be available shortly through the normal retail channel. RRP should be under R300.

Please be aware of cards that extend the PCMCIA connector with a cable to the front of the PC. 32bit cards (most new cards including the 3G cards) will not work or will be very erratic in such a setup due to the higher bandwidth requirements. These extended adaptors are only recommended for 16bit PCMCIA cards.

This implies plugging the 3G card into the back of a PC, so keep in mind you need to get to the back of your system.

The Mecer PCT1010R PCMCIA adapter works perfectly with the Huawei HSDPA card. You don;t need to download ANY drivers for it as it uses built in Windows Drivers.

welcum 212... you certainly can.. just need to have a PCMCIA to PCI adapter card, a open PCI slot on your PC and 1 magic 3G card..
3G card available from numerous outlets just the PCMCIA to PCI adapter card.. you would need to get.. I advise shoppping around to get the best price as they differ from shop to shop.. Most will install automatically with windoze backpack 2
