Hi folks

My computer was err nationalized so Im on the hunt for a laptop for around R4k.

So far my choice has been narrowed down to two products; one with a Pentium B960 ( R 3334) and one with an core i3-2310m (R 4275) processors respectively. Both are by Acer, and PCint . Apart from the processors, pretty identical (to me anyway:p)

My uses are general computing, movies and the odd game here and there. Will the i3 and hd300 make a big enough difference to warrant the near R 1000 difference?

thanks People:)

It might. If the b960 one has a really trash gpu then it probably won't play HD videos. If you plan on watching anything in HD then get the i3.

The GPU's are HD 2000 and HD 3000. Not so much HD video as Starcraft 2:whistle:

CPUBOSS also says that the single core performance is better on the B960, I think that most games are single threaded, no?

At this price GPU is going to be the bottleneck and not the CPU.
