Pepsi shortage?

Only got it with Coke Zero (even the new improved formula). Pepsi Max, Zip Zero et al taste great.
If you can stomach that cr#p go for it, to my palate they all taste as bad as the ingredients sound.
The Pepsi Max makes me feel sick, normal coke is fine, and Pepsi is okay.
I also get that, light headedness, nausea any diet or light version, the Coke green with Stevia is fine though, is the stevia one not taxed due to no sugar?

I guess it ultimately relates to how much sugar you have otherwise.

When I was on the sugar trip (a 500ml coke a day and 2 sugars in every coffee) I couldn't stand the diet **** or Pepsi normal for that matter and only Coke was king.

Then I got off the sugar trip and can only handle Coke on the rare occasion when ice cold and full of ice but now prefer Pepsi for tasting less sweet.

Tried Pepsi Max and was pleasantly surprised and have stuck with that and their other varieties like 7Up Zero etc as well.

****

I beleive the science has proven that there is actually nothing wrong with the replacements and that was all propaganda.

At the same time no carbonated stuff at all would still be better but what a sad life that would be.

I only drink Coke as a mixer every so often, other than that very few sweet things, generally tap water is my poison.

Anything in moderation is not too bad but aspartame/artificial sweeteners are not great, I can't take them at all, too chemical. I have read a few articles about some issue with the way the body metabolises them and some other problem with them stimulating the bad microbes in your gut which can ironically increase the chances of becoming prediabetic.

All I know is the less something is processed and the more close it is to being a naturally occurring substance the better it tastes and feels after I've eaten it, so I stick with that.

Can't say that I've ever noticed it tasting chemical in carbonated drinks and find sugar much more offensive.

As for the health factor (if it rings genuinely true) I guess we have to all die from something.

Sugar as used in this capacity is after all also highly processed and rather unnatural which is why it causes the problems that it does.

Sudden sugar spikes now tend to give me headaches.

Yep, carbonated fake fizzy drinks like Coke whether using sugar or fake sugar are all dodgy, I can't argue either are at all healthy options. Even "100% natural" fruit juices give me an uncomfortable sugar rush. Water all the way!

R22.18 from the local spar. Up from R15.15 yesterday.

All Pepsi 2L - R13.99 at Checkers Moreleta Plaza

Coke 2L were R15.99

600ml Pepsi? One left way at the back where my long arms could easily reach it, rest sold out.

I'm guessing those are pre-sugar tax stock. Price shock incoming. :o

Shoo so I'm not the only one, noticed it was R17.99 at the PnP yesterday and was like WTF!!
