It's always something....

Maybe men should start throwing receding hairlines and back hair into the ring and see if they'll build us special little spa's at outdoor events.
Lol, you're seriously comparing a receding hairline with menstruation? What the **** is wrong with you? Are you ok?

WTF are you talking about? This is not the 1800's...nobody does that.

People talking about the stigmatization of periods in 2021 are looking for attention and trying to stigmatize it themselves...

Lol why are men discussing women’s periods? Also, what are women doing outside the menstrual hut on their period?
Point proven. This conversation thread is pretty clear that men stigmatise periods

Okay, read the article and still not getting the struggle. What is wrong with being on your periods at an outdoors festival? "So what if you're on your periods, blood never killed nobody"
Blood never killed nobody? So, blood killed somebody?

Oh gawd now you've set it off.. we just went from ordinary white racist broederbond apartheid apologists to the murderous patriarchy intend on enslaving wyxmen by forced synchronisation of their collective menstrual cycles.

And worse of all is I still don't have my sandwich..

Yoh we have a live one tonight!

Just remember like any thread no matter the topic some posts are in jest...

Me personally I see the issue but not that it's an issue of one gender not considering the needs of the other. Festivals are disgusting when it comes to any sanitary needs, it is what it is.

Taking a dump in the porta potty on day 3 of a festival

Why can't the tampons/pads/cups be dealt with in your own tent, you'll have your water and soap on hand or wet wipes will do just fine and job done in the privacy, cleanliness and safety of your tent?

Let's say they install special toilets and clean wash basins at festivals so women have somewhere to clean out their menstrual cups (yes, I watched the whole clip). Are they going to discriminate against women who aren't on their period? And then outright discriminate against men (who can also have periods in 2021, don't be a transphobe...) who want to use the clean(er) facilities?

Yeah I'm all for cleaner ablution facilities. Even the VIP ones were crappy at festivals where backstage was super fancy with massages and catered food etc...

I don't know how we'll deal with the filthy toilet habits of our fellow humans.

What are you on about. Another period clueless statement. Oh, I wish you could experience it for a year.
And no one (well virtually no-one, cause there will be one) who wants to have a period everyday. Yes transmen bleed too; your point? Just trying to throw a red herring?

In the cities we make people pay to use public facilities, i.e. coin operated doors to the toilets. Taking that approach at an outdoor festival will most likely only lead to piss and **** and blood in all manner of unwanted places.

You're the clueless one. Point is you can't realistically expect to have a period safe space at festivals, etc, because even if you do you can't stop other women from using them because it's not like you're going to be able to employ a security guard to check.

Have you ever even been to a festival? Seen how long the queues are for the toilets? You're a woman 50th in line, are you going to stand there when the "menstrual cubicles" are free? Of course you bloody aren't! And guess what? In a couple of days that clean space that you've been begging for will look just as disgusting as any other portapottie, and the dream will be over.

If the cups are such a pita then just use pads or tampons during the festival, come on .... lateral thinking folks!

I get your point, I would probably go for a mix type where one would have free and paid-for facilities. Or maybe have cleaner facilities at the medic tent.
