Really? This just proves again why Lg and sony are the only Tvs worth buying. You get what you pay for with all these budget brands.

Yeah it was dull, might've just been Makro putting settings lower to make the other TV's shine, but yeah it just didn't seem that great.

I had a look at my local Makro and was extremely impressed by it. :laugh: They had a really good 4k HDR demo running and it honestly looked very good. Even compared to the TVs around it

Yeah mine had it next to the LG, Samsungs and Hisense U8H, it didn't shine against those sadly.
 
My TV had no display but could still hear sound, thought it was a backlight issue but I couldn't see anything on the screen, even up close.
Luckily applied for additional 12month Warranty when I purchased the TV.
Logged a repair call. Technician came out and had a look, said it was the backlights and took the TV away for repairs.
Two days later get a response saying repair complete. I thought ok good shot. Started waiting for them to return the unit.
Contacted them today asking when I can expect the TV back, they inform me that TV is unrepairable and will need to apply for credit. Not sure what that means.

Has anybody dealt with the Hisense Warranty team yet and have the TV replaced to credited? Just want to know what amount they would credit the TV for.

seems difference is VRR 120 Hz but cannot confirm? Also Vidaa 5 vs 6 but using a TV box anyway

Any advice/experience? TIA

Else looking at LG Nano79 or 86 due to budget

I would go with the A8G, its stll a OLED panel, so perfect blacks, no blooming,
the processor might not be of the best available, but it should still perform better than the others,
you are looking at, and don't forget the great price.
Just my thoughts
 
Hi All, I'm looking to buy a new TV. I have shortlisted the below. Which do you'll think is the better buy.

Hisense 75" U7H
Samsung 75" Q60B
LG 75" Nano79
 
Howsit guys, my Hisense 39" FHD LED TV 'packed up' last night. It's been 3 months since the 4 year warranty expired.

I was hoping if any of you would know if this is fixable? When I turn the TV on via the remote or the actual power button you can see the Hisense logo for a split second but then it turns off. The red led light is consistently on except when trying to power it on where the led turns into the normal blue but then goes back to red in that split second. I have emailed Hisense support just to see what they will say.

Also wondering if it's even worth trying to repair when you can get brand new TV's with good warranty instead of risking another fault with an 'old' TV.

If you have house contents insurance and covers tv for electrical faults (not sure on exact wording) you might be able to claim. I did for a Samsung that randomly broke 2 months post warranty. But guessing it's unlikely nowadays?

Btw my LG tv just broke 7 months post warranty. I think it's pretty clear these things only last that long sadly.

I took makro's extended warranty last time and while it's a gamble it worked out for me. In reality with the insurance route you still have to pay a tv repair shop for a letter so there's always a cost.

In a way I wish we could just trade tvs in every 2 years .

Hisense has a decent reputation now though so well worth looking into options (Toshiba also made by hisense here).
 
So I caved and got the 65A8H at R25k from Sounds Great.
Some differences from the U7QF it replaced, it's odd as it can use more and less power at the same time, as with darker scenes it's lower, brighter scenes it's higher.
Colours are better, it's 120hz on the Xbox so that runs well really well.
There is no blooming, which did occasionally happen on the U7QF. Not seeing any motion judder, oh my sound bar does sound better as it's eArc not just arc
