[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

55a8h was delivered yesterday.
Will replace the burnt in LG B7 (2nd LG OLED) this weekend and hopefully provide feedback next week.
The reason why i decided on the Hisense OLED was dolby vision, price and 4 year warranty.

Why have your previous oled's burnt in?

The first one pre B7 (cannot remember model number) had vertical lines on panel, was replaced twice and third time out of warranty.
B7, probably due to DSTV explora ultra hd decoder (cannot disable HDR), we mostly watch sports channels, S burnt in. The colors are also busy fading and in some places whites are now yellow.
I will swop the ultra with 3B with this TV and only swop again to watch rugby world cup in 4K.
If you have used an OLED panel it's difficult going back to any other technology.

OK so are you saying hdr creates burn in as well? How long did you have the tv that the colours are fading?

I've got my oled, though it would suck in my main lounge due to light.

The S burn-in has nothing to do with HDR, B7 and older models are known for burn in on static images, I believe they didn't have the logo dimming feature like the new models to prevent burn in. But overall it sounds like the tv was used quite a lot and is near its death. OLEDs do have a life span.

All TVs have a life span :)

Nonsense, if you force HDR, the lifespan of TV will be shorter and the diodes will fail quicker, image retention.

I mean Duh, Obviously making the TV brighter will kill the tv quicker but your S Burn-in is caused by watching a channel with a static Logo for long periods of time and by the fact that your TV doesn't have a logo dimming feature.
 
Okay cool A8H has an upgrade plus my sound bar interesting

Okay so your S burn-in was caused by HDR? Yeah sure I am the one who has no clue what they are talking about. SMH.

Then explain why the new TV's will automatically Dim the Logo/static image. Why was that feature invented?
