Meh, wanted to ask you where you bought it, but if its already sold out, then I guess I missed out... bummer
FFS, transporters dropped and smashed my 55U7A and there's no stock left, have to settle for a 55A6500....
@Hisense SA please may I have a link to the latest firmware so I can flash, thanks!
I know nuWorld is the devil but the 55A6500 is on a good special there while they're clearing stock, found it while googling specs on my replacement:

New World and nuworld are two entirely different entities. Nuworld handles JVC, Sansui and other knock off brands it doesn't handle Hisense.

This thread is going well for me... I'll STFU now...
Prices have indeed plummeted for whatever reason, I was looking Feb/March and 55's (decent ones) were all above 10k.
There still isn't any DSTV Now App or ShowMax with this update

Hi All, can anyone give me opinions of the 55U7A for picture quality and smart TV apps (does this version have dstv now?) versus the 55A6500?
Did you copy paste it. On my current font the uppercase "i" and lower "L" ) looks the same.
Edit: copy paste might not be possible, but did you try different characters.

Is this a later update than 50A6100_A002_i1113 ? I have this one running and its working OK(DSTV now working fine, but netflix seems to be stuck on 720p). I don't want to update then get issues

Updated my TV this morning. Thanks @Hisense SA
File name was the same as the one I loaded before but it picked up as an update when I picked the update from USB option.

That was the version I has on my TV as well. I loaded the update and it now shows VA002.01.00a.J0603 as the version.
Netflix and my wifi network still works. Ill check DSTV now
EDIT:
I didn't have the Showmax or DSTV apps on my TV. I changed my location from Algeria to SA and switched off the TV. Switched it back on and they were there. DSTV is logging in but I get a blue spinning wheel when I try and watch some cricket on SS3 :/

the biggest difference on these tv's is that the U7A is a 120Hz panel vs 60Hz on the A6500.
how does this affect you ?
U7A has better motion handling so much better for sports and gaming and any fast moving scenes.
