[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

Those are both new 2019 models, it's unlikely that anyone here could give you an honest comparison.

Why don't you go check them out at Makro. Take a sample video on a USB stick and compare them for yourself. The sales guys at Makro are quite accomodating of this, so feel free to take.your time.
Thank you for the advise! i've actually downloaded the latest episode of the Mandalorian in HDR ill take it along today and test on both units

Ill be sure to give feedback later

Thanks again

Hi Kamos

Please can you share your B8000 settings. I'm struggling to get a decent picture for DSTV now, especially football. I'm getting motion blur and ultra bright colour that just doesn't look right.

Your help will be much appreciated
I'm on vacation at the moment, not at home. I used rtings for my settings with a few minor tweaks. You can check out their settings here: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/hisense/h8f/settings

The H8F is the same panel as the B8000.

I wrote this review a while back when someone asked about the RU7100 but forgot to post it. So here it is.

I bought the Samsung RU7100 43" as a replacement PC monitor about 2 months ago. Then I bought the Hisense B8000 65" as my main TV to replace my 5 y/o plasma TV on Black Friday. I have been using both for TV, Movies and Gaming and can honestly say that the B8000 is MUCH better. HDR is better on the Hisense, colours look more vibrant and dark scenes are handled better on the Hisense. Also, upscaling on Hisense is slightly better too. Gaming, I didn't really notice any difference for input lag, in game mode both TV's perform similarly.

I would definitely recommend the B8000 over the RU7100.

PS-I know a lot of people here are going to judge me for using a 4K TV as a monitor but honestly, I don't care. This thing is amazing and I don't regret my decision one bit, I'm still pwning noobs but in 4K :D If you want more information about why I chose a 4K TV as a monitor instead of a dedicated PC monitor, DM me. Or maybe one day I'll do a mini write up about it.

Hi all

went down to Makro today and had a look at the Q8600 the SM8100 and the Q60 and truth be told the 8100 even though it’s a lower model , for me , build ,picture ,quality ,through out the screen from corner to corner ,blacks are still better than the other two , I can only believe that the 8600 would be better than the 8100 aswell

was kinda lookin at the Q8600 but once I had both TVs In front of me there was no doubt the SM still was better

I know it costs R4 k more but if your budget will allow it , trust me you won’t look back

Great. Thanks for posting your feedback. Good luck with your purchase.

Hi How do you guys connect to older AV devices. I was using RCA before and see the newer sets don't have RCA output anymore. Thanks

In terms of performance and 4k/HDR that you saw from the Q8600 and Q60r, which of these two TVs were the better choice?

Does anyone have the latest Firmware for a 50a6100UW. Have tried to get it from Hisense themselves with no success.

Hi guys, I hope everyone had a great festive season so far.

I'm battling to find my TVs serial number, and before i use the wrong one for my warranty i thought that i would quickly check here.

I can see the model number and power consumption on a sticker on the back of the TV where all the inputs are located (55B8000) and on the other there are 2 stickers, one that warns about a seal that should not be broken and then the barcode. barcode sticker has 2 numbers on it, model number and another long number, but i don't see any reference to a serial number anywhere. not sure if it is the barcode number.

On my old TV i could get it's serial number in its settings, but i've not been able to find it yet.
I would appreciate any help.

@Hisense SA, please could you give a hand?
Ive got a 65N3000UW currently on software V0000.00.00.I0110.
Every so often the TV seemingly loses power, and won't switch on from either the Remote or the power button on the back of the display. It needs to be disconnected from the mains, and reconnected for the power indicator light to illuminate and the remote to work again.
Is this a software issue that can be resolved or a hardware issue needing replacement?

Send me pics of your settings and ill see whats going on.
Hi Bradley

This is my settings based on Cinema Day picture mode

Hi. It's a 23 digit number you're looking for.
