[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

@Hisense SA When was the latest version of the 43B7100 firmware released? I'm hoping to reduce input lag somehow. I'll have to get another TV if I can't reduce input lag as gaming at 50ms just doesn't work.

I have my eye on the Samsung TU7000 43” and the LG 43UN7340. Both look to have around 10ms response time and do 4:4:4 on 4K @60Hz which is perfect for my needs.

Any recommendations on other 43" UHD / 4K TV's that work decently as a PC monitor and have low input lag?

@FoxFire675, maybe try to get hold of these guys regarding the panel query you had

Been searching online for information and IMO even if this tv had the newer gen panels I still wouldn't recommend it. It doesnt support Dolby Vision or HDR 10+ formats, its only have 3 HDMI ports ( for a premium TV thats really cutting costs, no mention anywhere whether they are 2.1 or 2.0 but most likely 2.0 and not sure if they support 120hz signals), Skyworth site says this tv has 500nits peak brightness while the Metz site says 800 nits which is a massive difference. Also, Rtings just put up a video on the Vizo OLED vs the LG CX OLED. Its a very good watch which highlights the importance of the software/processing capabilities of the TV with relation to its performance even if the source panels are the same.

Back to Hisense, has anyone been experiencing audio going out of sync on youtube videos lately? While watching YouTube videos using the native app on my B8000, the auido goes out of sync sometimes right after I skip the ads. It generally goes a few seconds ahead of the video and I have to exit and click the video for it to come right.

You think 55Q70T is a good deal at R12999 ? Going to look at it today and I might buy it if it looks good. Not sure about price though?

I believe there is a Q70T thread now so I would guess its more appropriate to ask that there instead of the Hisense thread. That being said, the answer to your question will depend on what you are mainly going to use the TV for. The Q70T does not have local dimming, doesnt get that bright for HDR and doesnt support Dolby Vision, however it does have a high native contrast ratio, very low input lag, supports VRR along with 120hz input signals up to 1440p. It also has eARC. However for the around the same price you can get a U8QF or even a U7QF. It will depend on which one you prefer in person.

I don't understand the issue with 4.4.4
I have the 65q8600 and I get 4k60hz 4.4.4 rgb with hdr from my pc

Hisense has launched a 75 inch U8QF for around 28k, apparently going on special for 26k later this month. Perhaps this means that a permanent price shift downwards across the other sizes is coming as they can’t sell the 65 at close to the same price as the 75. Plus there’s no way people are buying these TVs at the current prices so they have to come down. If the prices settle at the same level as the q8600’s from last year then it becomes a viable option again. It will also mean the U7QF has to drop in price. The only other thing to consider is the motion handling on these models. Haven’t seen it myself but apparently it sucks.

My honest opinion is that the u8qf has the worst motion handling out of all the tvs in any store on display. Doesn't matter if the hdr peak brightness is at what amazing level, I cannot understand how they can let that go through as their top of the range model. I have seen an entry level hisense tv (maybe 1year old) last week that I watched a movie on and there were no motion issues. U8qf, 30seconds in and I said I wanted to go look at another tv instead

Hi. Can you clarify what motion handling issues ? What content was on display ?

Is there anybody else who has bought a u8qf that can confirm this ?

I’m willing to give the U8 or U7 a shot at the right price. I use an Apple TV 4K box for most of my content so hopefully I won’t have to rely on the internal processing engine too much. But only if the price comes down to sane levels.

Good question..
Would also like to know if the motion issue is related to movies or sports content.
Also how is the motion handling on U7QF

Seen this.

Remember that Vincent is an expert calibrator and nit picks a TV to death.

My question is will the average user notice this in everyday content ?
These guys don’t rate the motion handling either, on the U7QF. But probably best to judge for yourself.

I am using a Hisense 43A7100F as a monitor for productivity. I basically run at no scaling, split down then middle (IDE on the left, browser on the right)

Not sure of the input lag unfortunately.

It was cricket, the guy ran after the ball. He wasn't even running that fast. And my non techie wife was with me and she said it was that bad, we should rather go for another tv.
