[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

Between these 2 TVs I’m leaning towards screen size. The 65 inch has 40% more viewing area than the 55 inch and, for me, if you already have a 55 inch then the next TV should be a size up anyway.
To add to this, it would also depend on how close to your TV you are sitting.

2 meters away? You could probably get away with the 55" one. 4 meters away and I would sway towards the 65" version.

The rule of thumb is to go for the biggest size you like, and then go one size up from that.

I have a 42" :(

I like the 65" Q70T but that is going for R28k I think. If I must go up 1 size that is like R40k or more for the 85" I would guess. My budget doesnt go past R20k. More important things to buy.

Hmmm, do you have your mind set on a QLED model?

I think you get 70" models now but they aren't as popular as 55" and 65" ones

How far do you sit from your TV?

About 2.5m to 3m
There is some science to it but for that distance, you should look at a 58" - 60" TV for mixed usage.

I think the science is biased towards achieving a cinema-like experience, and I think a 55" should do just fine for your needs.

You can play around with the sliders and read up some more at Rtings.com

@Skyworth Digital Support perhaps you can assist with the above?
No response on this? I was similarly impressed looking at the Skyworth yesterday but would have concerns about buying at that price point if there's no brand support presence especially considering the global dearth of reviews.

The metz s9 seems to be the same unit rebranded for Germany and India but even those have very few reviews.

I think incredible has the Sony X7500h 65 inch for R13999, which is better than the TU7000
You sure? Saw the X75 as well and it disappointed me. The X80 was much more improved. The Samsung was more comparable to the X80 for me

The LG nanocel TV looked better than both those 2. But i could be mistaken. Can't find the American model on rtings to our LG models

For anyone interested in the 55Q80T. I asked Expert via Facebook Messenger if the 55Q80T will be on black Friday special and this was their reply:

Normally we can’t let our customers know in advance what our promos will be before they drop.
However, the specific size of the Q80T that your looking for isn’t going on special for Black Friday.
If anything changes in this regard we will let you know.
Kind regards

Just spoke to the Samsung guys earlier as well. The Q80T has a bit of a stock issue at the moment but there are few units around. Considering the current deal on the 70, it's hard to justify the full-price cost of the 80.

Looking for a new TV and I came across the 65Q60T for R16999 at Makro . Is it worth it over the TU7000 at R12999?

I also found the 65Q70R for R20000 , I know it's an older model but should I consider it ?

Get the Sony X8000H

Consensus seems to be that the 70R is better than the newer 70T and closer to the 80T (all the samsungs moved down one model for 2020). I have been looking for a 55inch 70R without any luck.

It is very close. So unless you have a really bright room. The Q70T is decent.

The 65TU7000 at 13k is decent but some places have the 70 inch for 16k if you wanna go even bigger. That’s probably what you should compare to the 65Q70T :-) Where did you find the Q70R?

The 65 just fits my TV wall without having to move too many frames around .

My local game store has the Q60R

Does anyone know if the Samsung Q70T we get here comes with the center stand or the two legs on the sides? Really tempted to pick one up at the special price.
