[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

This guessing of which product will be available next week is frustrating. If I can get the Q80T for a decent price I will rather choose that. But now the Q70T is on special and come next week, I might be disapointed in choosing the wrong tv. Still the U8QF outperforms the Q80T on paper.

But the reviews for the U8QF are not as good compared to the Q80T

I know right, but most of the consumer reviews don't report the same problems as experienced by the reviewers. Overall U8QF provides the best picture quality in its price range. Maybe He should hold out for the Q80T.

The U8QF seems to be missing a lot of features from eARC, HDMI2.1, VRR, fresync.

The Hisense Q8600 was a good buy at the price, but now it’s replacement (U8QF), even at the reduced 22k, just doesn’t stack up for me. I previously wasn’t considering other brands as much l because of the price differences to the Hisense premium TV’s, but now that’s not as big a factor anymore. The Sony X90 65 inch for example is 25k on special.

Takealot has the 55' Q8600 for R11500 - Is this still a better deal than the U8QF for R13500?

Im going off the H9G review on rtings. Could be wrong
Is the H9G the american model to our U8QF ?

If so, the Hisense seems to be great for normal users like movies, series etc. No gaming on it

Loved the idea of the Q60T, but Rtings don't seem to love it as much as the U8QF

The H9G and U8QF are not the same TV. The U8QF has no HDMI 2.1 features so no ALLM, eARC, VRR. It also drops frames as 120hz making it essentially no better than 60hz.

I would think so. The U8QF has the latest version of VIDAA and JBL sound but most of the specs are the same. Still no HDMI 2. and 10bit panel etc.

Takealot now has the LG OLED55C9 for R24999 was R32k prior
Managed to score a CX at that price from Stax before that either sold out or got pulled.

Seems when most reviewers are going against the OLED vrs QLED they like to be using the Q90T which don't look like its even sold here & anyway pushes the price close to OLED anyhow.

hirsch's has the CX at R24999

So had a look at those Sony's model 75 and 80 at Incredible connection.

The X75 is not what I expected, a dull-looking image. The noticeable quality was the X80 series, not to bad but not worth the money in my opinion.

The Q60T was slightly better than the X80's.

Turning around, I saw this amazing quality. That " wow" image, went over to have a look, Skyworth OLED  https://m.takealot.com/skyworth-65-...aLjLgij7oFmodSVNqH8aAkU-EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
The OLED was better looking than the Samsung Q60T. But more expensive!

No Hisense TV's in stock at their branch

Aarghh. Missed the takealot sale which I could have bought with my ebucks. Why doesn't Hirsch accept ebucks

If Hirsch has the CX at that price i think you'll find Takealot will also switch to that price.....Up until today for the CX Takealot only had 3rd party seller for that model, now they are holding stock themselves so maybe next week, good luck

I'd personally stay away from the Skyworth OLED until a rep or maybe somewhere online can confirm which generation of LG OLED panel its using. LG Display made changes to their panels along the years and I know their current panels used in >2019 LG, Sony and Panasonic models have a different sub-pixel structure improving longevity, less risk of burn in and overall panel performance.

65T7000 or 55Q70T. Both at R12999 what would you guys choose? Better quality or bigger screen?

Between these 2 TVs I’m leaning towards screen size. The 65 inch has 40% more viewing area than the 55 inch and, for me, if you already have a 55 inch then the next TV should be a size up anyway.
