[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

Same reason Im looking for a size up. But, struggling to find a 65" model in the <20k range which is worth it.
That’s why the Hisense ULEDs are tempting. If the 65U7QF comes down price or the 65U8QF drops below 20k I might look at it again. But in terms of the other major brands, maybe the LG 65SM8100?

The SM8100 isn't worth it. It lacks in everything besides viewing angles. Its peak brightness for HDR is terrible.

So the q60t isn't worth the R17k at Makro?
65u8qf is it better than the q60t?
I don't game on the tv.
On paper the u8qf is better but someone posted on here that if you break the optical port cover, your whole 4 year warranty is shot because that’s how Hisense rolls.. Something to think about.

If you want the Q60T, which I don’t think is a bad tv, then maybe consider the 58 inch as the Samsung stores have a special at R16999 for the 58 inch Q60T plus a decent sound bar with subwoofer.

Wow didn't know that.
I see makro has the 65" for R16999 q60t model.

Already have a sound bar. 2.1 from samsung

This is the model I'd like to replace https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/ku7000

Any suggestions on other TV's that would be a bump up? 65" would be the great bump up

I an still leaning towards the U8QF though, will screen tearing be significant on the hisense, as the developer of PS5 said most games will be played at 30-60 fps especially 30fps with Ray tracing on. With most freesync and vrr only be active from 40-48 fps and up. I don't want to sacrifice the hdr and GALD backlight control.

Wait!

So I did some digging. And called a reputable distributer of Samsungs (don't want to mention names). He told me that from Monday next week, ALL of the samsung distributers (Takealot, Tafelberg, Herch's etc) will be running the Q70T at R12,999 for the week. While stocks last.

You were right! Its on special at most places now. Please ask the person if any good 65" models will be discounted in the next few weeks.

This guessing of which product will be available next week is frustrating. If I can get the Q80T for a decent price I will rather choose that. But now the Q70T is on special and come next week, I might be disapointed in choosing the wrong tv. Still the U8QF outperforms the Q80T on paper.
