[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

Another candidate that came up for me is the Samsung 55 inch Q80T. It's about R23k, hoping for a Black Friday deal. My budget is around the 15k mark.

The Q80 does not look like its a major seller. Apart from the Samsung website, I do not see that takealot, makro, kloppers or anyone else that sells it. It does look like a good tv though.

The u8qf Is on takealot for R12999 for anyone interested

I have never bought a TV from takealot before. So quick question.

If I use this for a week and am not happy with it. Despite no defects. I can just send it back for refund ?
You have 30 days to return it. Just keep everything in order and choose "changed my mind".

They also have the 55inch Q8600 for R11500. Is the u8qf worth the R1500 more? Considering the 55inch OLED skyworth at R18000 as the next step up but not sure how reliable a bet that would be?

17k makes things really interesting. Anyone got any experience with that Skyworth? I'm a bit worried about motion issues on the hisense when watching sport, but also worried about iffy software on both the hisense and Skyworth.

Between the q8600 and u8q, which hisense is the better pick?

For R13K this is a no brainer. Better than the more expensive LG Nano86.

Also curious because I'd definitely pick this up.. Looks like they have a physical store though might just drive there and check it out
Choosing between Q8600, U8QF and Q70T which is the better choice?
Is this site trustworthy?

Legit store.

They have a massive store in Fourways

Okay I am going to place the order. I have the U8QF due for the delivery on Wednesday as well which I guess I'll return based on this new deal.
U8QF has a better, much brighter picture for movies, tv series, particularly HDR content, and the LED panel has better lighting (backlit FALD vs edge lit on the Samsung). Samsung is better for gaming as it's future proofed with 120Hz VRR HMDI 2.1 and has better motion handling for sport so less judder. If you aren't gaming on it at all go for the Hisense, otherwise definitely the Samsung.

Thank you, I am buying it as an entry level towards hdmi 2.1 for ps5.

I went to kloppers today and had a look at the U8qf. The 65" was in demo mode and the colors were actually quite good, but the demo is in slow motion so it all looks good. The 55" was directly next to it showing cricket and the display was 'OK' as they are multiplexing the signal. I looked at the "motion handling" and the guy running didn't display very well, an advert came up... and a garage door closed and it looked like Windows 98 with the trailing mouse pointer feature. The motion handling of that tv is really terrible, I am not going to pay R13k for a premium tv that has terrible motion handling. The Samsung TU7000 looks better than the U8QF to be honest.
Want to find out, the DSTV signals that gets multiplexed in stores, would this perhaps had to do with the terrible motion handling that I saw on the U8QF?
