[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

The weirdest thing has happened to my 6 month old 65U7QF. Straight down the middle, from top to bottom, there is a vertical line of sorts - looks like a smudge or faded area that is only visible when TV is off or on a black screen. Would've taken a pic but can't really see it on camera. If I clean it, it goes away but after a few hours the mark comes back. Is this normal?
No that is not normal, also what do you mean goes away if you clean it?

If I use spray and a micro fibre cloth to clean the screen, the mark actually disappears. But once I use the TV for a few hours, it re-appears. Not sure if it's some sort of heat build up that causes the mark.

Sounds like it might be a heat build up, as cleaning it wouldn't fix it. Unless when you push down you're doing something to the pixels?

New update

I've had my TV for about a month now. I'm noticing some hectic horizontal banding in some scenes on my U7WF, looks like I got a bad panel. Does anyone else have similar issues? I can't unsee it now that I've noticed it. Does Hisense cover this sort of thing under warranty?
So it seems this sort of thing is kinda normal for most LCD TVs. I sent my panel to Hisense to check, and they reported no issues. The funny thing is that since I noticed it on my TV I started to check for it on other displays as well, and I am noticing it everywhere now, it's just much easier to spot on a TV this size. Compared to others I still think my TV is worse than some but it doesn't bother me anymore in most content, and my wife doesn't care at all.

A word of advice to new buyers, don't look at test patterns on your TV because if you see that the uniformity of your panel isn't 100% (and no TV is), then you will start looking for the faults in regular content. Ignorance is bliss.

I saw this video of someone having banding on a new Samsung QN90A which costs 4x as much as my Hisense, so it's an issue even with expensive TVs. Uniformity will probably never be 100%.

Anyone know the warranty process with hisense?

Do they come to your house or do i have to carry the tv back to the store?

I would say ask the Hisense rep on here but he/she has long forsaken this forum.

u8qf right? what happened?

I guess you have to it take it to the store but it might be a quicker option to take to hisense directly

Yes U8QF. There is some mark on the top right side of the screen,

I think i will contact hisense directly, i really don't want to drag it back to the shop myself, it barely fit in the car when i bought it. Would be better if they just came to my place or something.

Yikes... What firmware version?

Haven't done a single update since purchase as I'm afraid something like this might pop up...

It happened overnight a week or so ago. i updated to the latest software 3 days ago.

Been looking at the 55U7G but the price hasn't dropped from 12k. Hopefully it will drop next week

They might not replace that, that looks like it's had some physical damage, normally that type of bleeding effect only happens with physical damage.

I doubt it was physical damage, i literally woke up one day, switched on the tv and it was there. i also live alone so there is no way someone else could have touched the tv..

Upon closer inspection the bleeding actually runs across the entire top part of the screen, (from the left corner to the right). its just more predominant on the right side.
