[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

How it is supposed to look yeah. That yours is not good at all :( I think you'll have to find a way to replace it
It may not look good but it could be what Hisense considers acceptable. I’ve seen worse and honestly any replacement could will also be a lottery. Worth the shot though.

ULED I think they call it. I could check my other Hisense which doesn't use it. Though sometimes there is a little bit of light bleed when the local dimming zone can't handle it, like rarely.
I think you got lucky with this panel. Hisense don’t make things this good on purpose!

Is it noticeable in normal viewing - i.e when watching Netflix etc? Have you reduced backlight in settings? I’ve seen worse.
Yes, its so bad that a full screen video looks like it is in a window with white borders.

I have reduced the brightness and also tried calibrating the screen using an Xrite calibrator and DisplayCal which helped with the colour but obviously can't fix the light bleed and uneven display.

I had a hisense smart TV. Was excellent but the screen died 1 year after the warranty finished.

Had to replace the TV as there were no spares available for the model

That would've meant you got 5 years or so out of it?

Ok they definitely need to replace it.

That isn't too bad, but still sucks that the screen died.

Ya wasn't too bad. I really enjoyed the TV. The screen itself didn't die it was some electronics linked to allowing the screen to display that died and that component couldn't be sourced so the TV had to be replaced

Lovely, generally that could be replaced in older TVs, think they called it the Jungle IC chip.

I'm not to sure long time ago. I would buy another hisense TV TBH

Never had an issue with my hisenses and this is my third one.
Have you had a non uled or non qled model? Maybe they do something different on those. Were the other screens as good as this or did they acceptable flaws? The non uled A7G I have has some light bleed but it’s not bad and not noticeable in normal viewing.

Yup my first one was the old DLED 50p36d, my second one was a 58N5000

Not bad. I’m satisfied with mine based on the price I paid and I really hope I don’t have to deal with Hisense support at any point.

Yup same on the support, though they were better about 2018/2019 era, then COVID hit.
