[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

Besides the A8H the other A series actually are DLED and run on
NT72671 / 4
I think all their TV's besides the ones that can do 4k@120hz have that processor. The U6H is a ULED TV but also has that processor. Its also good to see that their entry level LCD TV's are direct lit.

I am guessing that as well, as the ones who have 120hz are running the MT SOC

I have the 65U7H and not impressed with the PQ at all.
Compared to model U7G, the TV is much dimmer and black crushes galore.

I don't have the link :( I tried to upload it here but can't do video, yup lighting really does effect the screen.
Managed to find it.

I think your Camera is exposing a lot of blue on that flower image, could be lighting too?

I didn't take pictures with light coming into the room, just did some for a quick comparison. That damn lettuce leaf really highlights the blooming on my TV (Toshiba z770) not completely unexpected though, I think it's a tad exacerbated by my phone camera, cameras are fickle things when it comes to capturing images off screens, probably didn't help to have the light on for that one, I could play with settings a bit too based on that.

I think it'll be nice to go OLED next time I need a new TV :D!

Edit: I noticed now that I forgot to change my settings back after playing with it so keep in mind these pictures are without local dimming and with 100 contrast....lol

Have you turned off any auto brightness setting and the usual e.g. changed to a cinema mode and tweak settings a bit? U7G on paper is almost exactly the same except for the HDMI 2.1 120hz I think? So This could just be panel lottery :(

Oh my bad that video :) sorry it's been one of those days. It is probably my camera, the P30 Pro was good in 2019 but it's getting long in the tooth now :) though it also could be lighting as we've had bouts of sun in the last couple of days, mostly grey here.
Bloom is about the same as my U7QF can do sometimes

Yeah man. Let's upgrade your phone next! :)

Nah I'm happy with it :), still has 8gb RAM and 256gb storage, plus camera isn't that bad in proper lighting
I moved to a Samsung S21, I wanted the higher refresh rate screen and such but to be honest I miss my P30 Pro. Yes the camera is a bit better (for quick snaps) but Samsung UX isn't as good for the most part. Oh well. Maybe Honor in a few years.

Hey guys, so there aren't any reviews on the A8H online at all which I get since it's new and this might be a bit of a stupid question, but is our A8H variant the same as the A85H in the UK?

Looks similar but this review of the A85H mentions HDMI 2.0. So not our A8H with HDMI 2.1.

Then, this says HDMI 2.1... Again, frustrating global spec differences.

It does have 2 hdmi 120hz ports, but it's got 3 on the side and one on the rear

i think they're the same? port wise at least, both have 2x HDMI 2.1 and 2x HDMI 2.0 ports1669730105224.png
says in the review it has 4x hdmi ports, two of which are hdmi 2.1, so guess the other two are 2.0..or that's how I'm reading it. Wording is a bit weird.

As far as photos go and skimming through the specs, they look the same.

It also says this further down.

Afternoon, can I ask does anybody have any first hand experience with the Hisense 55A8G OLED TV? Tempted at buying one, but there are no reviews of this model anywhere on the web. Conflicting spec's on Hisense site doesn't help either. 60hz OLED Panel, with HDMI 2.0 ports should be ok for watching TV, XBOX One X gaming?

More than OK. We’ve all agreed it’s a steal at R10,999. Presuming the usuals such as a not overly bright room / or that you’re OK using curtains during the day.

Will keep that in mind thank you, Current Samsung 55J6200 TV is on mostly in the evenings. Was looking at the Hisense/Toshiba Z770, but there is something strange going on in the 4 corners of the display, almost like it is dull/dim/half lit.
