Howsit,

Where can i go in Jhb to get best rates for personalized number plates ?

Have looked at plates.co.za but they wanna charge 3.5k for up to 7 letters/ numbers.........thats expensive.

Are they the only place or can I get a better deal elsewhere ?

Thx

Just buy a Golf GTi ... then everyone will know you're a douche by default. :p

Unless your plates read "4nic8r GP" then don't do it man. Just don't.

I live in the Cape but do you not have to do it through your regional Department of Douche Bags formaly known as Traffic Department?

Dammit, so its taken, I wanted to get it for my wife for her birthday lol.

What is it with people who want to spend thousands in order to tell the world that they are total douche bags??!

Having had the misfortune of having to get a plate for a certain p r i c k who bought a car from me last year, I now tell customers to sort out their own plates if they want t make fools of themselves. Funny, as I am writing this, I am reminded that this particular customer has turned out to be the most arrogant twat that I have ever dealt with!

To the OP, there is no "cheap" way of getting a PP. You have to deal with the relevant authorities, and the price jumped from R1900 at the end of last year, to R3000 odd this year. In KZN it's a bloody mission, as everything has to go through a bunch of arrogant A holes who are situated in Pietermaritzburg. Not a pleasant experience.

saw one dude driving an A class... MANGO GP on his plates.....he couldn't explain why, just said he loved it :D

I would just like to know what's going to happen with all these personalised plates once the new plates have to be on your car. Will you still keep them?

I presume they will have to be made out of aluminium, and have squiggly lines running through them.
