Petition : Mweb Uncapped 4mb performing the same as a 1mb package

Same here. My speeds are horrible now. Just started today though.
 
Something is definitely going on with Mweb's network. At my work we are on a 4mb business uncapped account and we have been experiecing the same issues people are complaining about here. There are periods where it's great but most of the time the performace is erratic and inconsistent.

I thought I wait it out a bit incase there was a seacom problem or other network problem but nothing has been mentioned as such. This has specifically been happening since the beginning of last week with small indications of something is wrong before that.

Considering a lot of people are complaning about the same thing, logic would dictate it's not user specific.

I know of a couple of people that would like to subscribe to the normal 4mb uncapped account but this is seriously putting a halt to that, for now at least.

To the Mweb rep, please dig a little deeper and see whats going on. Thanks for the help.

Ok yes im also in the 240 to 300KB/s mark now where I normally got 460KB/s EASLY. +1 for petition.
 
Well contacted Telkom, they reset my ports and tested my line, nothing wrong with my line, but ya currently downloading at 40kb/ps on my 4mb line.
 
Been having the same issues on a basicadsl account - I called them and apparently there are issues with seacom to america. I get good speeds to the UK, Europe etc but America is like ±1mb on my 4mb line.
 
Updating my Iphone 4 660 Mb will take 23 Hours on 4mb line...???
 
I am on MWEB for over 1 year and even just now.
I downloaded and still get my full 4mb download speed.
Stop Mouning, it is telkom cables that must be upgraded.

O and this is Pta central where the cables are good.
 
/signed I don't care much about the downloads...but my online gaming experience with mweb sucks.

Speeds and lag on the 4mb accounts are super-**** today especially. You know things are bad when your 58 yo dad notices... and all he does is play farmville or browse gumtree
 
I wanted to sign up with MWeb in the next few weeks. Reading all this makes me think twice now.
 
Go for OpenWeb Gold. On promotion. Best account available currently. I was on Mweb right at the beginning, and it already started becoming slow
 
Same here. I am fedup with the perthatic speed I am getting here in Paarl. I am contemplating to take Mweb to the Consumer Protection Board. And the a charge of corruption. I am paying for something I am not getting.
