A train transporting petrol and diesel has derailed between Durban and Johannesburg in apparent sabotage action by striking Transnet workers on Wednesday, a union official says.

The South African worker has shown by his / her behaviour that they do NOT deserve the FIFA SWC 2010.

If ANYONE is to blame for sabotaging the SWC then it must be the UNIONS and the wekkers

Correct, 95% of those striking are black South Africans.................. of that 95%, 100% of them are previously disadvantaged, meaning minimum education = very little opportuntity to do anything else. I dont agree with the violence involved in there protesting, however put the WHITES in there shoes with there pay and there lifestyle for 1 day and lets see what happens .............................. Malema signs a song and half the WHITES start running imagine!!!
 
Easy to strike for more pay, no so easy to live on minimum wage. Easy to strike, difficult to convince the unions not to strike. Easy to strike, difficult to work.

In Germany in 2006 it was doctors strikes, thousands upon thousands where striking only days before the WC and it was resolved shortly before. I'm sure we'll see doctors strikes soon as well. Its all business as usual :)

No sooner does that thread die down than another racist troll come on. Let's see: Greece, Thailand, World Economic Forum, Toronto, G8... all with violent stuff burning protests. We must have exported our workers there & painted them white & brown.

I'm sorry but destruction of property like this cannot be condoned or explained away by saying they have only had freedom for 16 years.

THEY DERAILED A DIESEL TRAIN CARRYING HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF LITRES OF DIESEL.

Stop for a second and consider the potential consequences of that from economical to ecological to humanitarian. It's mindboggling. It is terrorism and treason.

Are you currently disadvantaged ? Shame with white South Africans still having the gross majority of the countries money, most of the property and 70% of the corporate jobs we have it so terrible. It's us Bono should be do awareness concerts for. We're having such a terrible life and are so horribly oppressed. The people collecting garbage for minimum wage, how dare they want more from life ! I'm only driving a mid range sedan now !

And here I thought us white people didn't need any hand outs. We were capable of doing things for ourselves. I mean when I think about it I don't actually know of any white person who can't get a job but that's besides the point. Apparently we are having this brain drain and skills shortages and yet there are no jobs around for super brainy skilled whites ? Weird !!!

Or are you suggesting white people regardless of having no skills or qualifications should be just given everything for nothing ? Man, you are worse than Cosatu !
 
I will say for once I agree with John. It is a damn shame that workers strike and then get violent, but implying that its only black men that strike and that only black men do so violently is a racist statement. Do you guys ever watch the news?

The irony in this case is that the incident is allegedly attributed to UTATU according to their spokesman Chris De Vos. And UTATU is a mainly white union:mad:

Thats a racist statement John. Implying that one group of people, whites, are all rich. Some whites are very poor, uneducated and very disadvantaged.
