Phil Spencer retiring from Microsoft

No way will MS stop selling games on PS. They making a ton of money of them and no Satiya will never approve it. ~

Xbox as a console is dead. Xbox as a brand still lives

Time will tell, but reading inbetween the lines it sounds like console + cloud. Whatever "Team Xbox" means, I think we will have a better idea come GDC.

I can only hope that Jason Schreier is wrong about Sony pulling PS back to console. First-party games are now to be said to remain exclusive to the PS console.

Then AMD... there own architectures that are being adopted by MS and Sony is more PC than it is not. Now with AI services, these consoles would need to provide access to these services as well. I would assume then something more hybrid, but I would best wait until the consoles are announced. AMD said 2027, but it is rumoured that Sony is pushing their date back. I can't see the new Xbox coming too early. Given the bad situation in regard to DRAM, then a cloud push is plausible.

I don't even want to think about this. PC sales are being supressed by enterprise businesses.

Come join us on PlayStation gents. More than enough space this side.
I think the next gen consoles will be more PC than it is not. Like the Steam Machine. Ecosystem interoperability might be on the horizon. The question is whether some titles will be locked to the hardware, making them exclusive.

Then there is cloud gaming that won't be hardware agnostic, but locked to a digital ecosystem.

Great start to the morning with Team Xbox, where we talked about our commitment to the return of Xbox including Project Helix, the code name for our next generation console.

Project Helix will lead in performance and play your Xbox and PC games. Looking forward to chatting about this more with partners and studios at my first GDC next week!

Eeuw. Speaking of AI agents as living organisms.

I see Satya Nadella is now also leaning on AI agents being users that must have its own identity. I guess this is the talk over at MS. Do they think that this will improve the human user experience?

OK... from what I'm reading, it does not look too bad for the XBox future? I thought a new console in the traditional sense was out...? The AI stuff... I have to see more (yeah, it will be bad). Wonder how "play your Xbox and PC games" will be implemented, bc this sounds like a Steam Machine on Steroids.
