Philips Airfryer - anyone have?

Every cloud has a silver lining
What is that?
Just hosed myself reading reviews, People never learn. Buy Philips or stick to your oven.

Whats the price of that 4 x 2.5kgs?

I don't want to lie to you and they don't list it online but I want to say R180.

It is much much much cheaper than buying the conventional 1kg or 1.5kg bags in the normal shops.

This is like a moerse box.

I checked online before asking. R180 is a good price, I would even say R200 will be a decent. Will definitely stop by Makro whenever I'm in Durban again and have a look

Anyone got tips on potatoes?

Whole, sliced etc?

Mine are fluffy and dry...

Quicker the better.

Just plain advise. No arguments. I have a Philips.

Cut into wedges, your can leave skin on if you want. Put in bowl and add a good amount of salt and 2 tsp olive oil or butter. Toss it around a bit to cover everything. Microwave for 4-5min depending how powerful your microwave is. Toss around a bit more to cover again. Put in air fryer on highest heat and let it fry for 5-8 min. check when nice and crispy.

Peeled and sliced in quarters or however you like.

Boil in super salted water with 1/4 teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda.

Drain when done and rough them up so they make a mash like fluff on the outside. I use a pasta pot for this with a built-in colander but anything container should work, the colander just helps a bit.

Season them now while still wet.

Drop in air fryer for 20min at 200C and shake them up and then do five minutes at a time from there at 180C until happy.

Less effort with good results.

Baby potatoes cut in half with the skin on.

Throw in a bowl and drizzle a table spoon or two of oil over them and then shake them up so it spreads around.

Add seasoning of choice and shake them around again and it will stick to the oil.

Drop in air fryer at 180 for 20min and then shake it up. Do another 15min and then test for doneness, if necessary do 5min at a time until happy.
