We have an airfryer for the past 5 years+. My father actually got the original air fryer from Hirsch on the launch day since it was on promo. We have been using it 3 or 4 times a week. On Friday we got the XL from Hirsch for R1999
When i moved out last year, the first thing i got was an airfryer since I cant cook to save my live yet and I use it almost daily instead of the oven. I even make toast in the airfryer and my toaster has been gathering dust for the past few years
How has it impacted on your electricity bill
What temp and time do you use for toast? I find that the bread gets too crisp. We have an airfryer for the past 5 years+. @APoc184 please give me some advice on chicken. How do you prepare the chicken, how hot and how long?Yeah definitely not a novelty in this household. Gets used almost every night for kids and at least 3 nights a week for ourselves.
I'll never even try to make chicken any other way. Crispy skin with perfectly cooked and moist to the bone.
I've even started making our fritatta dishes in it.
Currently in the process of producing some tender eisbein and crispy crackling for tonight's dinner.

Nice 'deal'!!! You save around R800-1000. (Original price around R4000 to R4800, not R5500 fakealot)

Please also give me the instructions for this one. How to prepare it, what temperature and how long?
Did you soak or smoke the eisbein?
Thank you sir! I'm gonna try the eishbein. It depends on the size of the drumsticks and thighs but I generally do 20min at 180 for the smallish sizes from Checkers. Bigger ones I've had to to 25min or so. And if the skin is not crispy enough to my liking after said time I would blast it at 200 for a few more minutes, checking it every minute or so.
Smoked in this case. And for absolute best results I would boil it for 90min early in the morning and then leave it in the fridge for the rest of the day to properly dehydrate the skin for ultimate crispiness. Then 30-45 min at 160 with spices and salt to taste. Proper crackling then.
But I've had good results with it straight into the airfryer as well. Usually 60min at 180 and a further 30min at 160. But then the meat is not fall of the bone like the pre-cooked method.
We usually do steak for about 12min max at 200 for medium rare. Also depends on the thickness. Thin cut means shorter time.Picked up the Phillip's XL
