Philips Airfryer - anyone have?

Just bought it last week, seems to work - haven't used it much - I can see how one big basket vs two smaller ones might be more useful in some situations, but - I think for us, two smaller ones will be used more.

Things like roasts, etc - I'm still probably gonna do on the fire/weber.

They can say its 10xL. It still only 5.6L. Almost as small as that thing Jamie Oliver from Wish have and will tell you about in a few minutes

Nah. It’s pretty big. I have been using one of those for a couple of years.
The basket is 20.3 cm by 21 cm or so.

Sweet baby jesus, over 4000 reviews and 4.7 stars. I have never seen anything rated that highly on Takealot.
That thing must kick a Philips Airfryer’s ass so sweetly

Does it have a digital timer and can you cancel it half way through the countdown?
I saw on the cheapie Philips model a major complaint was the timer was analog(wtf) and if you wanted to cut the cooking short you have to unplug the whole thing and wait for it to run out.

I don't know how it compares, it's the only fryer I have used. I paid R1999 for it.

You can adjust both the timer and temperature whilst its on.

I have an old OG Phillips from 2014 I think. Analogue timer. If you want to cancel you turn the dial to zero . No need to plug it out

I'm just going by the reviews on Takealot, many mentioned the timer issue.

Many people have complained about rust and also fans packing up. Maybe some rust got in the fan while standing in Takealot warehouse.
Philips are known for some bad quality control, so maybe just return it for a new one.
If you can get a refund, maybe look at some better brands like Safeway, Salton, Goldair, Xiaomi, HappyStar, FryNolongTime etc,
