Philips Airfryer - anyone have?

One or two tablespoons of animal fat on the bottom of your air fryer, preheat for for 2 to 3 minutes, chuck your McCain's skinny fries and cook as per directions.

Straight up the only way you'll make oven chips ever again.
Never make oven fries in the first place, always deep fried and that beats air fried hands down every time.

Definitely a LOT tastier. But oil... Can only do this so often
At least three times a week and the oil is good for a month or more.

Then, as a final use, I brown a few dozen meatballs for later use.

It's gets expensive if you were to deep fry chips in animal fat, what I've found is a good compromise.

In terms of taste my method tastes better than regular chips deep fried in cooking oil, thanks to the animal fat.

This is how you make chips in Cape Town, to go with your sandwich.

And now I have to order one.

  1. cut chips
  2. soak for 40 mins
  3. dry pat/shake with kitchen towels
  4. toss in bowl with bit of oil
  5. preheating 4 mins 160
  6. 23 mins at 160
  7. flip chips
  8. 10-15 mins at 160 or use 180 for more crispier results.

Otherwise it's chips at cafe/or fry.

This. 10 minutes and you'll have slapchips.
When I do chips in the air fryer, it's in for 16-18 minutes. 40 minutes is overkill

So what’s what now?

Came across these at Looters. The value & how they are actually looked piqued/peaked my interest.

Perfect for the chocolate starfish Phillips & others.

Well as most people on MBB have known for years, disregard anything BSB says, its just all BS.
Now you have two left. Both are probably more or less right as the first clown used fresh cut potatoes that was probably cut thick. Still sound a bit long but plausible
Option two (16-18min) is probably for frozen chips that is probably cooked a bit already.
Nothing in cooking can be exact, except if you bake a cake or something with the exact measurements. You can get a 50g chicken drumstick and a 200g one, and both will cook different times.
Same with your chips, you get different thickness chips and also freshly cut, and some frozen ones will be precooked and some not.
So buy one brand, see what cooking time and temp they suggest and taste. Then you can adjust next time if you use the same brand.

How can they possibly be that cheap, maybe they pulled a Pnp and took past the sell by date stuff and just repackaged it?

Yes good point, it must be the diff between fresh cut and precooked frozen.

Well you can see those thing came out a mould. So definitely not real chicken breast. Can be anything, maybe not even meat.

Can’t advise on that but made my version of a McD’s Cajun earlier, throw on a hash brown as well. Alas no pics.
Top stuff, patty is incredibly similar to the McD’s Cajun, that’s a big compliment as that is their best burger.

I’m sold & will continue buying these & other options there.
