Philips Airfryer - anyone have?

Airfryer XL got delivered today by Hirschs.
Must decide what to cook tonight....

We got the XL on black Friday and still learning the new digital controls. What is the indicator to show that it has reached the set temperature?

The older one had a small orange light that went off when it reached the set temperature. Can't seem to figure out the new one

You see the temp but not the time and start. Will buzz when it’s preheated

Got my AirFryer over the weekend.
Done prawns and chicken so far... realized I need better ventilation in my kitchen :P

Not too impressed with Hirches though. Ordered Tuesday but when I rocked up on Friday order hadn’t been finalized. Web Call Centre left early and was forced to come back again after an hour phone call to find out wtf the issue was (there wasn’t any, just dragging their feet)

Ah I need to give this a go.

I set the temp and the timer for 3 or 4 min. After that I just assume it reached the preheat temp, then put in the food and set the timer again for however long I need

I had similar issue with online ordering, after arriving in the store and asking for my unit, they hummed and ha'd until I said cancel online I'll pay and take it now...
then no no we will deliver for you ASAP off the online order

what a schlep.

I reckon they're just not advanced enough for an online business yet

Open fire, or braai stand?

Let's go with open fire since it's older than the stove. Not sure how old the concept of a braai stand is. Might also be called a fad

Edit: On a side note. I just checked the date we got our first air fryer, 6.5 years ago and it was still going strong, only upgarded to the XL last month

Yeah, don't fall for these modern innovations. Just because it's popular nowadays doesn't meant it's better.

I hope you don't put salt and spices in your meat. It's apparently fashionable to do that nowadays as well. What sheep people have become.

I was stupid. I should have done the same. The air fryer travels with us on holiday with us as well. Have been to Kruger, Durbs and even lugged it to Jeffrey's bay once when we had booked an apartment
