Philips Airfryer - anyone have?

Air fryers are most peoples ticket to make more junk food at home. So it can never be healthier. It is an evil that should be banned.
Most people will fry food in oil at home maybe once or twice a month. But they will cook some junk food in their Air fryers daily.

How does this compare with the Philips ?

Nanny air fryer that beeps halfway so you can supposedly turn the food and a build in pre heat function. The instant pot failed to gain any traction after only a few years and now they flog this crap. People buy it because they’re non the wiser.

Currently we have two Philips products at home. 1. is the Smart Aifryer. 2. Is a Philips HeartStart HS1 AED.
Replaced the pads and batteries on mine last year.

My Phillips broke after 9 months. I suspect its the switch that turns it off when you pull out the basket. So now waiting on TA and the supplier to fix. Maybe a blessing in disguise becuase my cholostrol has sky rocketed from chicken nuggets in the last six months.

Got the Phillips Analogue model as I really don't like excessive buttons and screens on a device that is basically on or off.

Very happy so far haven't done much with it but what it has done has been pretty epic. Oven bake chips in the air fryer are faster and a better combination of crispy and fluffy compared to a thermofan oven that I used to use.

I think my only worry is I won't use it as a healthy tool for actual meals but end up making and eating more snack foods because of the convenience. Already did southern fried chicken strips from Woolworths not something that I would even buy before owning an air fryer.
The preset thing is a gimmick as nooone uses it. You use 99% of the time 180 deg and 15 minutes anyways.

why are retards saying air fryers are bad for you? FFS they are a normal convection oven but smaller? dah... so what they are saying is your oven is bad for you..

Pretty much yeah and for other things I just figure it out like when I baked mac and cheese started on a lower temp to not scorch the top then cranked at the end.

Like your stove doesn't have presets you just figure out by the type of pan you are using and what you are cooking what to set it to

Is not that hard

How does the timer work on those Analog airfryers, does the timer pause when you open the drawer and resume when you push it back in?
I see the analog as being an advantage because turning a knob is much faster than tapping repeatedly on a display.

TA credited me R2200 for the broken airfryer. 😀 So off to Checkers to buy the same airfryer for R1500 😁

Timer keeps ticking away (audibly). I'm not worried about that, it's not really precision cooking and the pros still outweigh the cons.
