I think some sort of oil spray would be useful, as it was kind of a waste to dirty a bowl to toss them in the oil. This might also be useful for chicken

Yes, starch removal. Light oil spray or manually add some after towel dried.

Tinfoil keeps it juicy. Some meat I like to keep the fat and juices.

Should be Phillips shop in your area.

We originally got ours in Pinetown, and there was a Phillips repair shop that sold all manner of spares.
