Philips Airfryer - anyone have?

Nah i've noticed RH has items that feel cheap, but this unit i linked seems to be something totally decent

Cool. Would say you need as large a size as you can get, irrespective of brand. We got the medium one I think, Philip's, and you can't fit an entire chicken in it. Bugs me endlessly

The philips medium sized unit, XL is a 3.5L
Seemed big enough for 2-4 people.

So anything 3 to 4 L should do a good job.

That big one you commented on earlier is R1500 at makro. But like i said. I can't find info on that unit

Apparently that special ended yesterday? If it's still on may be worth driving to your nearest Makro and having a gander. Even if it's reverted to full price, 8l at R2k worth a look.

Prices are flippen ridiculous. Its insane.
I can't recommend anything else though.
But yeah, I won't buy anything at the current price tags.
The current prices are ridiculous. That's why I am hoping for a Black Friday or cyber Monday deal

How easy are these things to clean? Do they dry chicken breasts out? Steak? vs a pan.

Thanks. I think I'll get one, I like low effort food. Hope Checkers has stock.

FYI, Takealot has the Phillips Airfryer Daily collection for an App Only deal of R1800.

Cheapest I could find it... I wish there was a Takealot voucher available to make it cheaper

XXL (7.3l capacity iirc) at the folks next door fits a full chicken comfortably. Anything smaller and you're maybe facing issues.
I squash a full chicken into my mellerware 2.6L and it cooks just fine ie crispy skin and evenly cooked. Granted, I do pick the smaller chickens I can find.
I do agree with you that the bigger ones are the best ones to get, but if you tight on budget and cooking for 2, the small options do work out ok.

Lmao OMG dude you just reminded me of how retail used to push us to sell Macbooks and mid/high range laptops, if someone is spending R30k on a laptop do you think they give a **** about some air fryer lmao, I've had several clients tell me I can take it home, only for management to try and put it in the back once the customer leaves, freakin management aimless souls that want to make their staff as miserable as they are.

Maybe you should have tried the red pill.

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the Phillips daily collection and viva collection?

From my research online only, there appears to be no differnce. The Viva collection is the older series and is thus showing as "No longer Available " on the Phillips site.
It's been replaced by the Daily collection.

I found it extremely difficult to find any differences but please wait for a second opinion
