Philips Airfryer - anyone have?

I've avoided this thread completely not realising how much beef (/cough) is going on in it, but now with BF coming and me getting solar installed recently, I was thinking about upgrading my Philips normal sized dial thingy airfryer. No idea what model it is, but i was thinking about a large dual drawer type thing or an XXL Philips.

So whats the consensus here? Philips or nothing? Seems like there's a bit of a war going on so a summary would be good and a recommendation for a dual basket type if anyone has one. :)

If it's just you and the missus, get a Philips XL or XXL. If you've got kids, the Philips won’t be big enough, but you rather don't want to go off-brand, so kick the kids out.

Just MBB Philips thread is Philips or nothing, the rest of the world does not rate the Philips high.
If you already have the small Philips, why would you want a dual drawer that just have two more smaller baskets.
If I were you I would keep the small Philips and get an extra air fryer. Maybe a bigger one for whole chicken or other roasts and can use them both. So then go for the XXL or another brand that is big. My Goldair 8L is bigger than the XXL and works great for bigger things and even smaller stuff then you don't have to stack them on top of each other and get more crisp and faster cooking. Its on special at Makro now for R1699

I can't really say: no experience with anything other than a Philips. Real world conversations may help you more than this thread, since we are basically at war. I'll even have to delete this comment just now because these words will be used against me later.

I never really thought it out about using the existing alongside a new one, I had in my mind replacing it. Thanks for the advice. Food for thought indeed.

Just nosing about and I eBucks have got the XL for R2999. Combined with my existing one that might be a decent move. So I reckon I'll wait for next week and see if I can get one for a song before taking the plunge.

The Philips 7.3 XXL airfryer still appearing on my Sixty60 app for R 3499. Maybe try changing your store?

XXL from Checkers for 3499, as its the last day today till someone has it cheaper on Black Friday... no doubt.


What should I cook first?

Note - I don't eat chicken.
