Philips or Sinotec : 50" LED

I think both are 8ohm. Installed the latest AMD Omega video driver, makes a big difference in Kodi running DXVA2 HD. I am begining to love my 50" Hisense D-LED.

SD content still does not look quite as good as on plasma but getting there. I think with the right tweaks in the video driver settings it will be on par with my old 51" PDP.

Just from curiosity if you don't mind me asking, why would you change a 51" plasma for a 50" LED, unless the plasma broke. Never the less enjoy your new buy.

The plasma had burn in, the plasma used three times more power, the plasma was not full HD, someone wanted to give me R3k for the plasma.

Unfortunately most people in the world think LCD is better than plasma (RIP).

His plasma was HDR, and yes, developed some minor burn-in as a result of misuse and user error. And yes, probably cost R20 - R50 more per month to run.

If it was a 51" FHD plasma it'd be madness, but there are people so suckered into the 'LED' marketing that they would.

Visually annoying in all scenes is not minor.Firmware upgrades that changes the TV into Shop mode without warning the user is a manufacturer problem.

I'm glad I had it, was a good three+ year run we had. I also am glad I have DLED now, and a decent GPU behind it.

I was being sarcastic. If you are buying a 50" telly, why worry about 2W speaker output difference?

Because I am used to the 2x10W on my previous set and I did hear the horrible sound a 2x8W makes, granted it was a Sansui.

More wires, more stuff to plug in, nah I prefer it clean and simple with happy neighbours. The 2x10W in the Hisense is very good, Samsung also had good sound.

Edit, that creative is 12W, (3 watts x 2 plus 6-watt subwoofer) I have 20W in my Hisense.

Those speakers are a mere 10W (2W x2, 6W x1)...RMS.

I struggle to believe this, unless you're purposefully sitting close and looking for it.
Yes and no. Obviously it is more obvious on white or grey scenes, but knowing it is there you sometimes tend to glance over to the burn in areas and then you do inevitably see it.

Not been a FHD will make kind of sense to change it. Obviously was a very low model as well. Good luck with your new buy.
