Phone cameras have evolved a lot since they first appeared on the market. I remember when I got my Nokia 6233 and realized for the first time that a cellphone camera has now surpassed my first digital camera in terms on picture quality. OK - so my first digital camera was crap (HP C215), but still - it is nice to see things progress the way they do.

I many other threads on this forum I still find people saying that phone cameras are crap - I beg to differ. Some of them are crap but with enough practice and the right conditions you can take beautiful pictures with almost any camera.

On the other end of the spectrum there are phones that have high quality cameras with all the bells and whistles. Like the Nokia N82 - currently the only Nokia with a Xenon flash. Here are some of my best shots I have had with the N82. If you have some of your own good shots to showcase please share them here. Especially those taken with other camera phones like the Cybershot range from SE.

Shots are sized a bit small to be able to see anything on there.

yeah wynsam it is sized a bit small, but looks good, i must admit i hardly use my phones camera (my parents have to BEG me to take pictures since their phone's don't)

I only use my phone camera for visual note taking . . . and to take photos of my actual cameras :o

there's nothing there roux just the small pic.

Edit: the photo's from your album in your profile are actually quite astounding, looks like a worthwhile phone

Just gotta wait two years to get another phone :(

On topic: Pretty darn good pictures for a cellphone camera.. I'm impressed.

Thanks - I have to admit, the camera does make it easy to take good pictures. In my view it is the best camera phone you can buy at this stage - but this thread is here so that someone can prove me wrong :D

Well.. I highly doubt I can do that seeing as I only have a Siemens ME45.. :o

My brother took this picture with his SonyEricsson: http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a158/cgprogrammer/DSC00024.jpg
(incidentally thats as close as I'll come to actually posting a picture of myself :D)

I forget exactly what model SonyEricsson he has - I'll ask him later..
Anyway, I always thought that picture was pretty good for a cellphone.. :)
It's not so bad when you zoom out a bit, but if you bring it into full size then it doesn't look so sharp..

Lol press *#0000#
I think you have old SW on that N82, those are crap pics, the phone is capable of better.... Glad you impressed, But if I post SE pics you would be blown away lol....
The N82 is the best cam on the market, excluding the SE C902/C905.

Guess you oughta back that up with a couple of pics then ? :p
While SE is the only brand that comes close to N82ness you have to keep in mind that they all have one major flaw which is they use a proprietary memory format.

This is why I will never own a Sony/Fuji/Olympus digital camera and stick with the Canons/Kodaks/Nikons that accept an open standard like secure digital and compact flash.

My N82 is already on the newest version 20.0.062 from 28 Feb this year.
