aaargh... mega-pixel broadside

/shlooooshing sound of bandwidth being flushed

What about a delete and auto-disqualification for every ****er that posts a 10gazillion mb photo? If you can't be bothered with the rules you shouldn't qualify for a prize.

PS RPM, maybe you can specify maximum pixel dimensions, say 800 longest?

Just a question - how do we know these are all taken by the authors? :)

Should be able to see the info of the camera....other than that you may never know. Mine were posted on my FB page so it's def my work.

This little guy (spoilers: he's not little) is a resident of the gardens outside the MyBB offices. Taken with an iPhone 4S.

Fujifilm finepix s1800, pure luck shot.

Please my gigs are getting fried because people have posted massive pictures that are not allowed for this competition.

They need to be deleted!!

It was not mentioned what the judging criteria is. Is the winner the best photo posted or is it a lucky draw?

The former always seems to favour the person with the better current camera and other equipment (tripod, flash etc) and the best post shoot photoshopping skills. This is always likely to result in a more visually appealing photo than someone who snapped the same subject with a cellphone.

I guess potential winners would need to submit their full size image to the judges (or admins) it would have all the meta data etc. Would be easy for me as I would also have additional similar photos from the same location etc, which would go some way to proving they are mine.
