Piemans Pie

Just bought one at the garage shop after a long while.

It was meant to be a pepper “steak” pie.

So only discovered thick goo gravy and literally no steak.
Was I the unlucky Friday afternoon package or is this the norm expected from these pies?
This comes to mind.

Piemans pantry pie's. One of the few things I miss from Gauteng.

What do you okes don't get about a garage pie ? It's to buy and eat when you're drunk, hangover or in a moerse hurry.
Who the fck drives with an Airfryer plugged into an inverter and bakes pies on the way to work ?
My boetie Brollocks wou die leeuloop uittry
By 'n spitbraai
Ek staan eenkant en ek kou aan 'n garage pie

EC seems to be very dangerous right now, But once i am rich enough to afford private security i will take a drive down to experience these pies. Never had a proper homemade pie before.
I can courier you some Shamrock pies and maybe some Friesland milkshakes

There's this pie place shop assembly line in Valley View Krugersdorp that has the best, freshest, old fashioned properly stuffed pies.

You should see it got the link off google maps just bask in the magnificence of that assembly line setup, it is just da bomb, perfect warm succulent savory pastries, people buy these pies even frozen by the dozens.

I've had those, not that great, they opened a few shops and those closed down now.

I don't know how impressed I was with them. Have they always sold them prepackaged?

I have to admit, Im a bit of a pie snob and here in PE we are blessed with some of the best, Nanaga, Shamrock, Jaymore (not sure if they are still around) and the best of the best Continental Butchery but sometimes I get a urge for a garage pie and nothing can beat it.

I bought pies there last week and they were terrible! Even Piemans are better and that's not saying a lot.
You should try Pie Time Cafe in Wilro Park, Roodepoort if you pass by there.

In Centurion the best pies you can buy is at Bronberrick butchery. Lamb, Venison chicken etc. You will not get much sauce in them, just meat and fat/oil, so prepare for a good heartburn. You can also buy frozen uncooked pies.
On the South coast opposite San Lameer's entrance, There is a place called Bucks farm stall. Not the biggest pies, but great tasting and relatively cheap for a "restaurant"

What is venison chicken? sure you not eating Hadedas here?

Luckily I'm not a pretentious pie snob yet so any pie is lovely

Even the just gravy ones, or those mini sausage rolls you put in the oven.

Although the big pies at the fresh stop are shanana, just too hot though, always have to wait to start chowing.
