The Council of Muslim Theologians has described as barbaric and racist an incident in which people broke into a mosque in Potchefstroom and smeared the prayer room with blood before leaving two pig heads in it.

This is disgusting, just leave places of worship alone, no matter which religion they belong to.

That is disgusting - hope they find the fsckers and chop off their fingers...
 
makes no sense doing that even ......... as much as I am not for religion, I still think this behaviour is awful.
 
I am a Christian, so I do not believe in everything the Muslims believing, but in my eyes, it is horrible when someone do something inside the holy places of other religions which offend them. Islam is one of the religions which see pigs as unclean animals. If someone do such disgusting things in a temple of another religion, then it is inexcusable.
 
If this happened in Europe, the US or the Middle East I would not have been surprised.
The fact that it happended in Potchefstroom does surprise me since we we have a lot of religous tolerance in SA.

That being said, I'm sure this is an isolated case where a few idiots went out to offend Muslims and they got that done. The worst thing would be overreaction but since this is SA we can be sure it'll happen.

In general yes, but you just have to read comments like this to realize that intolerance exists everywhere.

Completely unnecessary and disgusting.....but yeah they blew up a few Christian churches recently in India i think, so who cares. Why is it that every time someone draws a picture of mohamed the world comes collapsing down, but Christian religion gets offended in every second tv show and no1 cares? And no i`m not a racists, I lived in the middle east for several years and still have allot of islamic friends.

Also interesting note i realized when typing this, islamic with a lower case "i" is an incorrect spelling on firefox spellchecker, yet christian with a lower "c" is not :confused:

Not so in Google chrome but then again I guess it might be the language settings and locale.
