Ping is high to bahrain

You will need to find a vpn down in KZN to drop your ping down to about 100,
Existlags servers are sitting in JHB. My VPN at terraco gets about 127 ping to Bahrain meaning 140 (PE to JHB to DUR) is the best you will get until you get an exit point down at the coast.

The closest one I know of is Chubsvpn, which is in Harrismith, thou I believe his default client-side split tunnelling only runs the Fortnite and apex IP ranges. But if you get the IP range it's easy to add. He set up his VPN for the Fortnite community and the only thing running through the VPN is the game traffic.

I have been trying to use chubsvpn since yesterday but it never seems to connect, always stuck on connecting. apparently its a bug with the vpn but none of the fixes people have recommended helped

Maybe coolideas could optimise the routes to bahrain again like they used to have since a year ago i got like 130ms to bahrain and lately most isps are back to low ping to bahrain

AWS doesn't peer in KZN, you would need a carrier that gets capacity on the cable system with a transit provider or peers in Bahrain.

Agreed the VPN has a tunnel to Kenya, forcing you onto the east cable.
Valorant uses AWS Global Accelerator, so a VPN existing out in SA wouldn't help much. Basically replicates what exist lag does

Yeah anyone that peers with AWS effectively uses their "Global Accelerators". We have capacity directly on Eassy, but AWS gets terrestrial from Djibouti through to Bahrain vs then getting onto a SEAMEWE onward to Marseille.

I can't comment i don't play fortnite i played it season 1 and 2 but that was like 2 years + ago i think they might have added a latency buffer i know Overwatch has a 10ms latency buffer, but yea 40 seems a bit extreme. All i know is the games i got Bahrain servers in i hit it at 140 as per the traceroutes
 
Thanks i get 130 with exit lag.

1st prize is 140 ping with no addons to get to 140
 
@PBCool asking on behalf of a friend will Bahrain Amazon traffic get fixed anytime soon?

Its still 180+ from CT, our work RSAWEB connection is getting 140, warp is getting 140 and everyone else i have asked seems to be getting 140 as well.
