Pink wors

the wors is only pink because the factory has put in a colour additive to make it look better. I get good wors from my local butcher which he makes. I am sure you should visit another butcher

And you bought tons of the stuff it seems :p
:(

On the glass half full side, some car guard is going to have a very worsy Christmas.

Ja I have another reference which I'm trying out. Can I ask them to cook a small piece so I can taste? Or will they think I'm taking chances? I'm sad.

Was it spicy?

Yes I remember it being spicy. Now that I think about it, it's the wors that you get at a chisanyama. Very juicy as well.

The one I bought yesterday though was just salty and sucky, not even juicy.

Sounds an awful lot like chilli wors, very popular with the Durban beachfront/lagoon braai scene.

Can you guys taste the difference between different 'types' of boerewors? Like oukraal and like goudveld?

I really don't know how people can. Maybe I just burn them to much :D

If you take two different pieces of wors, braai them and then taste afterwards you should taste the difference.

I wonder if its not "danya" wors, but I can't recall it being that pink, more a purple than a pink or brown.

Once upon a time, I bought some pink wors from a butcher for a braai and the wors was super tasty, the best wors I've ever had.

It was in a faraway town though while I was on holiday, and I've never been able to find the same wors in Joburg. Anyone ever had such wors?
It doesn't taste like normal wors, it's much tastier and way more succulent. Smells awesome as well. The best I could find around Joburg is Chakalaka wors but now I was the real thing.

Had it at outside Soccer City before a match during the world cup. Tasted better than it looked
